With 7 matches to be played in the first of the post Origin rounds we see Souths and the Sharks put their feet up while the rest of the competition attempts to carry on.
No doubt there will be player from tonight's Origin who won't back up but this is part of the fun at this time of year and is why starting the season strong is important for the back half of the season post Origin.
The match of the round appears to be the Roosters (5th) vs Broncos (4th) on Saturday at 5.30pm with many of the players from Origin 1 in both sides making it an interesting game on many levels. Taking the Origin effect out of it the Manly (6th) vs Canberra (8th) game on Sunday 2pm could be the sleeper match of the Round.
Friday 6pm sees the Storm take on the Knights so I'm sure Jatz is looking forward to that contest on a board level
Other matches are: Eels vs Warriors - Friday 8pm, Dragons vs Tigers - Saturday 3pm, Cowboys vs Titans - Saturday 7.30pm and Bulldogs vs Panthers Sunday 4pm.
Enjoy the round
