I'm trying to decide between Boak or Luke Ryan as my upgrade this week.

Boak probably the better pick but I already own 6 fwd keepers (with Tim Kelly currently in mids) but only 4 premium defenders.

Ryan in lets me move Hore down to D6 (pretty much a keeper anyway) and leaves me with 1 more upgrade on each line. In the meantime I'll pit my fwd POD in Ziebell to try and match the scores of Boak in the back half of the year.

Ryan seems to balance my squad just that little bit better. Neale next week; 10 trades left. 3 upgrades to go.

Thoughts?

Sound strategy. I think Ziebell will match or better Boak going forward, he's found form and more importantly, regained fitness (was underdone at the start of the season as he missed a fair bit of pre-season).

Sounds like Ryan is the better fit for your team at the moment, plus he's projected to get 123 this week :cool:

As long as Rhyce Shaw keeps playing him in the guts he should keep scoring well! :thumbsu:

Trying to decide decide between Z Williams vs L Ryan.

Save more money for next weeks upgrades getting Zac.
But he has a bye next week.
And I traded him out only 2 weeks ago.

Ryan more expensive.
Had a poor back half of 2018 if memory serves me correct.
Already have POD premium players Bont, Gaff and Gunston. Ryan adds another. Might be too many?

Still leaning more towards Ryan due to the bye factor.

Will the return of Stephen Hill affect Ryan's scoring? Did Hill take kick-outs last year at all?

Was awful last week. That 10pt will be out of his cycle eventually but not if he isn't getting a game!

I traded him to Gardner.
Like for like scoring :moustache:.
But its good to see Ryan getting a few games.

Who's got the better JS out of Corbett/Burgess/Gardner you reckon?

How way away is collins ? he would come in so burgo not great JS.
Corbett will need to go back to the seconds to work on his form.

I say corbett but wouldn't be confident.
Burgo does have DPP could be handy with trading etc.

I kept Balta last night scoring a 51. Ouch. But thought he has to stay this week to keep a body on the park. Will drop some in value now and can flick him next week.
Thinking of going:
-Corbett>Bewley (via Dunkley Swing)
-Clark>Gardner
-Atkins>R Gray

I've still got Burgess too. Are they good trades or should I consider something else?

Hill doesn't play quite as deep defensively does he? Haven't watched Freo closely enough over the last couple of years.

Yeah, not sure either. Perhaps one of our Freo fans can enlighten us on the expected impact Hill has on Ryan's scoring?

Haven't really considered Robbie Gray because every season I bring him as a upgrade and he gets injured or starts to become inconsistent. Basically break him every year. In 2018 I brought him in before his injury affected 37 against Fremantle. Had to ride a couple of 60's on the way home too.

Ended up going:

Balta -> R. Gray
Scott -> Clarke
Stocker -> Hind

I don’t trust Bewley’s JS. Not that the others are necessarily good. Can just see him being dropped for Cerra next week.

I'd prefer to see Bewley stay in the side, and see Hughes/Duman dropped but I agree he'll make way for either Cerra/Bennell shortly IMO.
Not a lot of interest around for Logue, which I don't get I realise he's not on the bubble but JS is rock solid I'd say.
Anyway, am I mad for thinking about this?
Could also trade Whitfield instead of Answerth and turn my 'Ins' into Dunkley/Marshall/Logue?
