Round 13 trades

Thinking of doing my last trade.

Option 1
Palmer -> Corey or Bartel or Cornes

or

Option 2

Palmer -> Montagna or Mitchell or Hayes.

This will either happen this week or next week.
Using option 1, this leaves me with very little cash left over for my LTI trades.
Using option 2, this leaves me with around $90,000 for LTI trades.

Just not sure which option is the best.

who would people prefer, mitchell or hayes? both are really cheap right now. im leaning towards mitchell but with his high B/E may wait another wek

Tough one, i always like a bit of cash in the bank just incase there is a LTI. If you've upgraded most of your players, i don't think you'll need 90k in the bank. I'd say look at maybe keeping around 30-40k in the bank for a LTI, so not sure what options that leave's you with.

Can't go wrong with option 1, really just a matter of personal opinion on who you choose. Are you going for overall or league? if overall then it you should take the 'risk' and go with option 1, if league option 2 - you don't want any injuries come round 22. Personally if my team is completed then i would get the best possible, if you do decide on option two Hayes is by far the best value for money.

I was recommending Montagna to people 2 weeks ago  I watched him closely both weeks. When he does go into the middle he is usually tagged/paid very close attention. Last week was not getting into the game at all, was put into the back pocket and played an absolute stinker. Will be a good pickup next year. Mitchell is very up and down lately, might not be getting as much time in the middle? as he used to with the hawks stellar midfield, but thats just pure speculation on my part, could be getting hard tags? better for someone in the know to answer that. Hayes is easily the buy of the round, was averaging somewhere just below 100 a few weeks ago, and had a tough couple of rounds (i.e. sydney last week) bringing his price down to a very juicy position. Hope i helped a-bit. In conclusion definately option 1 for me, imo get cornes. :thumbsu:

Ok so i thought it might help if i had this if anyone has any tips that would be great thanks very much. I have 9 trades and 9,900 in the bank.

That team cannot be saved =P
Well for one Mcintosh is out for 6-8 weeks, Gardiner is also injured not sure for how long though. Rioli, Thompson, Myers and Griffen have to be traded. Only cash you have on the bench is Tippet/Cotchin so one of them down to a $72k/83k cheapie and upgrade those players either this week or next.

As you have no cash Mcintosh to Cloke and bring in Kruezer for Gardiner as you won't gain anyone any better for that price. Then Thompson for Riewoldt/Hall/Rok/Chapman who are all at a great price for next week, and if you can afford it Myers to Bock/Mackie. Will leave you with 5 trades and a much better side. And eventually upgrade Rioli and Griffen, Griffen could even be traded this or next week for Hayes at around $330k is a great price.

traded in didak for fev and bateman for murph. leaves about 80k in my bank!!!

but then on my otha one ive got 2 main backman out, bradshaw and scarlett!!

but my forward line is a powerhouse.

Fevola Richo Buddy Pav Brown Aker R.Murphy!!

Considering the following. Am I crazy?

Cameron Wood to Renouf (Cox and Simmo start)
Nick Stevens to Swan

If trading Stevens its now or never. Big breakeven this week.

Note that I need a top level gun for Captain selection. My current mids are:
Bartel, MMurphy, Cross, Salopek, NStevens, Mitchell.

Swan would be a handy captain option as I dont have GAblett, Kornes or ST to pick from.

Didak wouldve made your forwardline even more "powerhouse" if you didnt trade him out

So what are peoples thoughts on Stevens? Now I'm thinking I might just make the ruck trade and sit on the cash and wait for an LTI....

Stevens can be looked at a number of ways, it all depends on the amount of trades you have left and team look.

In my eyes he is not worth trading out, I have better trades do complete.

My team is basically what I would call "finished", the last trade will either happen this week or next. Palmer being upgraded to a more seasoned player, even then I don't think it is a life and death trade.

going on the fact that that is the only option you have given us (therfore that is the only problem in your team) then it is fine as swan is better than stevens but yeah dono the rest of your team.

5 trades left:eek: but i only really need to upgrade myers. can afford p burgoyne by $800 but dont really like him. anyone have any suggestions? another option could be stevens to anyone besides ablett or palmer to anyone besides ablett and thompson

You have very ordinary reserves, expect a few zeros towards the end of the year...especially if you are only going to have 3 trades after this week.

4 trades after this week but yeah wilkes and kru wont miss a game, davis looked good and west coast are tanking and browne was best in reserves but he will be the most trouble but hopefully stokes can come in soon.
what you think about trade option though? could do stevens to anyone but ablett or palmer to anyone but ablett and thompson

my look at trading gram for mcphee or gilbee gives me the extra cash get palmer or griffen upgraded to anyone except ablett/swan/cooney

i dont want to really waste 3 weeks on upgrading these 3 players.
instead i will do it in 2 and get all 3 upgraded with only one downgrade of a rookie and get i will still get ablett/cooney/swan for griffen/palmer with a downgraded rookie

what does everyone think of this ?
