Losing Polec, Yeo, Docherty, Karnezis etc putting pressure on older players, simon blacks departure, 2 different club legends coaching in a short time, all the board trouble/Paul Roos saga, injuries to Rich and Spudberger... Enormous list of problems...

Man when you list all Brissys issues like you have it looks scary.

Most of those guys couldn't get a game or very little game time and Black was being played as a sub and they only just missed out on the finals. Had Carlton lost by 1 point and Brissy won by 1 point instead of the other way around in Rd23 they would have played finals. They youngsters that they bought in this year have arguably been better than the youngsters (who left) were last year. They also had a lot of injuries to senior players last year.

Problem is if he stinks it up I'm left with Jelwood or Libba as my only "safe options".

We're probably a lot more inexperienced this year compared to last year with players being injured and/or suspended. In round 23 last year against Geelong, we played 3 players with less than 25 games experience (Michael, Mayes and Lisle). Our last loss against North in round 9, we had 11 players with less than 25 games experience, with 7 of them less than 10 games.

Not to mention we've had a nightmare of a draw. Our first 9 games were Hawthorn, Geelong, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide, Richmond, St. Kilda, Sydney, Essendon and North. So basically 7 of the current top 9 + St. Kilda and Richmond.

Yeah I'll do that, with Pendles as backup captain if Gaj doesn't have a cracker.

There should be plenty of non players going around for loopholes....
