What a strange hill to die on. If they're so offended by Brisbane honouring Fitzroy's past why not start supporting the Suns, a club with as much heritage and history as the Bears ever had.

I agree, but some supporters do feel that the Bears is not honored enough by the club. the merging was sought of a gunshot wedding and there has always been this undercurrent by pre merger supporters, personally I don't know why the FFC logo isn't used more often in Victoria and even the Fitzroy club song isn't played once along with he Brisbane club song after Victorian wins.

Brisbane Bears Football Club 1987-1996 10 seasons

So 114 years of History compared to 10. Honouring Fitzroy history much more than Bears history sounds about right.
