The Hawks resume after their bye with a match against the Bulldogs on their patch. Having won five straight games, the Hawks are now sitting fourth on the ladder and will look to consolidate their position in the top four of the VFL with a win over the Bulldogs, who come into the game 15th on the ladder, having most recently lost to Carlton by 19 points last Friday night. The Bulldogs managed to get a lead out to 20 points half-way through the first quarter, but after that, it was all Carlton, as the Blues took the lead just before quarter-time (only for the Bulldogs to take the lead back just before the siren). The two teams were evenly matched in the second quarter, but the Blues poured it on in the third quarter and the early stages of the fourth before easing off the pedal to win comfortably.

Footscray's match was notable for the return of Josh Bruce from a serious knee injury, and one would suspect that he'll line up for the Bulldogs against the Hawks as he continues his return to football. Lachie Hunter has not had a terrific season for the Bulldogs at the AFL level, but his 30 disposals against the Blues led the way and assuming that he doesn't get elevated to the senior team for the Friday night game against Hawthorn, he'll no doubt be a prime mover that Box Hill will need to curtail if they want to secure the victory.

As mentioned above, Box Hill had the bye last week, after snatching a dramatic victory over Port Melbourne at Box Hill City Oval. The Hawks kicked the last three goals of the game to come from 14 points down entering time on in the last quarter to win by six points. Fergus Greene was the hero for the Hawks, kicking two of the three goals (Ben Cavarra kicking the other goal) to snatch the victory away from the Borough. James Worpel had the most possessions for a Hawk against Port Melbourne with 26 disposals (plus eight tackles) and, if he doesn't make a return to Hawthorn's lineup against the Western Bulldogs tomorrow evening, will be keen to impress the Hawthorn selectors with another strong performance for Box Hill. Box Hill-listed James Parsons was also notable for his work in the midfield, collecting 23 dispsoals and laying four tackles.

The game will be live-streamed via the AFL website and 3WBC 94.1FM will be on-hand to provide radio coverage of the game.

Teams to come.

Josh Bruce has injured a hammie and will miss, apparently.

Can Morris play for BH today even though he was sub for Hawthorn last night? If not, that is in last 3 weeks he has only played about 16 minutes of footy.

Is Tom Phillips bald now?

Gunning for a brownlow.

VFL stream has s**t itself hahaha.
With any luck they get the correct labels on it asap.

Box Hill has barely got a hand on it yet.

They need to wake up. They are getting absolutely dominated in the first 10 minutes.
