Time to drop Charlie
The bad games this season are really starting to out weigh the good.

And it's not just the lack of goals. He is applying very little pressure and making no tackles. He is one of the worst examples for a senior guy in terms of the effort required across the full ground.

Giants were prime for this game , revenge is sweet .
Losing Payne was terrible ,but our goal kicking is soul destroying .

Need a psychologist to get into their heads .

Logan was incredible , well done to him .

Nothing I’ve seen in any of our wins, losses or draws has given me any great confidence we’re a realistic chance this year. I’m pretty bullish about next year though with a full preseason and hopefully another key forward. Could definitely see a bounce back like Geelong and Pies are having.

There was some good passages today but again let ourselves down with poor converting and a team wide inability to want to defend the ground. They kicked well at goal but let’s not pretend they didn’t cut us to pieces moving the ball so easily at times too.

Inaccuracy again cost the Lions the game. Have the ability to generate scoring shots no matter how poorly the team is going which is a win. Morris and Fletcher best on for the Lions. No much else to write home about. Let’s hope Payne recovers quickly. Shame he’s got that injury.

Next week will be the real litmus test. Lions always manage to go up another level against top 4 fancies. If we play bad again I’d think that would be the season in terms of defending the premiership you’d think?

Another wasted game. Have left 14 points on the table in the last six weeks. Just not good enough with our run home. Too many lazy players. Midfield is a HUGE worry, the way we are playing. Inability to hold tackles, too many getting ahead of themselves, and not playing a disciplined team game. 34.45 in three weeks. not taking into consideration the out on the full count. Frustrating.

The biggest stain against Fagan's legacy is that he hasn't been able to fix our poor goalkicking. 13.18 is embarrassing for a premiership team, like last week was embarrassing. He refuses to fix this and our results show for it. We're not the best team in the competition, but his inability to do anything about this annoys the hell out of me. Whenever we take a set shot, i'm already accepting that it will miss. Tbh, i'm happy that we lost. No team who can't kick straight should win a game of football. It's the most basic fundamental skill and we can't even do that. If we're a team who can't even do the basics well, then we don't deserve anything. Also, watch fagan not fix this again.

Firstly some well wishes for Payne, what bad luck

A good game by Morris.

We had some degree of ascendancy in the center early on.. Which then deflated.

Fightbacks are exciting but won't win you games.

Out of form and out of effort
We did ok in finals last year but fundamentally shouldn't have been letting them overwhelm in the first part of that quarter. Those sorts of lapses are expensive. As are the goalkicking woes

I probably wouldn't have him in our votes but will call out Eric. Key back isn't his game but kudos for being the guy to sacrifice himself for the team by going back. He's tried ruck and now back this year and think that's worthy of recognition.

Not enough others will sacrifice themselves like he has over the last year

Well we've got problems. Attitudinal problems.

Been mentally drinking the bathwater and when Fages was questioned about our spasmodic performances a few weeks ago his reply that we're second on the ladder showed that he probably thought we'll pick things up when we had to.

But we're not . The season gets tougher from here so it's time for some tough words and tough love . Just not sure we have it in us this year tbh.
