No where but he’s worth a shot when carrying passengers in Mead and Richards who play a similar role.
Those two don't belong in the same sentence.

Entertaining game, does Hinkley get to finals from here?
We're still 3 games out of the 8, with 10 to play, including Geelong, Crows, Hawthorn and Brisbane away. We're cooked.

Is there a team with more c**ty players than Melbourne?

Petty, May, Viney, Oliver, Salem are all A-grade flogs.
Keays, Rachelle, Murphy, Tex, Flogarty, Dawson, Hinge, O'Brien, Soligo.... the Crows are so detestable at the moment it isn't funny.

It was re-freshing to see our ball movement into the forward 50. Hitting up targets on a lead, especially Georgie, after good ball movement. Not the usual low % plays, bombing it long to a contest - Hinkley's favourite play.

The ability to stay in the contest through solid defence for a 2nd week in a row is a great sign. Especially when the opposition hits qtr time with a 12 to 2 clearance count. That sorta count would've spelt a big quarter against usually.

Backline just looks solid for the first time in a long while. If Esava can keep this up and Bergs and Rozee keep being so valuable, then the rest of Aliir, Farrell and BZT will get a lot of space to flourish. Sinn is also growing nicely, and Burton playing well again.

Hated the dual ruck play, but Georgiades, and our ball movement was generally so good it glossed over it.

Definitely a lot more positives the last couple weeks. Shame they have taken till the year is cooked to work into the season. We get a couple more players back from injury in next few weeks and we'll be looking pretty solid and deep.

Not understanding the Richards negative discourse; man has not only shown decent defensive efforts (ala today) but has provided a good outlet option as a hard running HF. His ball use into the middle setup up an early goal and his attack on the contest when he got smashed (leading to a behind) was admirable. Don’t see that from Mead, McEntee, Evans or Narkle. Richards is a fine player in a difficult position and had positive impact.

where does Liddy excel?
im not sure why he was rushed in over moreas and lorenz
To be fair, Liddy looked lost, like a player thrown to the wolves in a game, system, team, etc that he just really hasn't been exposed to or become comfortable with. When there were some instinctive moments though he was OK.

You cant judge him much just yet.

Maybe I was harsh but I simply don’t rate him. His statistical output is mediocre, he doesn’t kick many goals, he isn’t physically imposing, he can’t take an overhead mark, he averages 6 kicks a game. He’s vanilla. What he achieves is the bare minimum I would expect from an AFL standard footballer. 13 touches, 2.8 tackles and 0.7 goals a game and that’s without any vests.

Universally maligned McEntee averages more goals and tackles per game time!

It was weird, Jackson was starting to gain momentum, yep we basically stop him to sub.

Why wouldn’t you let liddy build a body of work in the sanfl and let Jackson continue to get game time

It’s just another stupid coaching decision from a stupid coach

Because the one bloke driving the discourse is a moron that doesn’t know who he supports but saves his constant whinging for the port board

Can’t believe this discourse about Richards…. He’s got a great kick on him and is getting 15 touches or so a game. Regularly in the goal assists and defends well up the ground. He’s 5x the player mead is and 10x the player mcentee is. I’d say he’s been better than SPP- Rioli the only small in the front half of the ground who has been better. Shocking call by anyone who says Richards is a plodder.

He’s not in the same league as SPP. Deluded to suggest as much.

Your IQ would barely eclipse Richards season goal tally.

You have an issue with the amount of ball Richards gets… Richards is averaging more touches! Same amount of goal assists too.
Richards plays higher up the field than SPP too which is why he’s got less goals. I won’t accept this Richards hate 😂

Cmon Hamish, Pepper coming off a knee reconstruction and limited pre season. You can’t seriously tell me you’d pick Richards ahead of Pepper in this Port team.
