Just went back and watched the game highlights and amongst a flood of memories I had some empathy for the opposition fans feels after playing us. I'm sure it would feel a lot like I did after getting done by "only" 40 points. Game was over by quarter time and nearly everyone knew it. It was an absolute smacking even though it seemed tighter in the second half.

There were highlights to that game??? I just think myself lucky I moved to Melbourne before then & couldn't go to the game. But then I was at the last 2 Hawks/Freo games...

We really need to beat the Hawks next game, just so they don't become even more of a mental hurdle.

Sorry I missed that one. No excuse either I was actually at the game. Just arrived back from overseas, went straight to the footy and from memory it rained so hard that you couldn't make out the numbers on the jumpers.
That was just a horrible. horrible game . .

So Freo/Port is likely to be a Friday night game (that or Hawks/pies). I'd be confident of us snagging a win there - you'd think Port will lose some steam, potentially play a comprimised side if they have top 2 sorted out.

Freo/cats is at this stage a 50/50 game, but the cats aren't playing great footy and we will go over with confience.

Freo/Hawks at subi is a big plus for us. It's smack bang in the middle of a tough run home for them and we might find they are having a rough trot. It's winnable but I'd think they are the favourites.

Win 2/3 of these games and we are top 4 for sure. A few other results slide our way and we are possibly top two...

but one week at a time and all that

I would hope we don't play Port on Friday night, as we play in Brisbane the Sunday before. Ports game is on the Friday night. A five day break compared to a seven day break.

Hawthorn and Collingwood both play Saturday night. It would be fairer if they play on the Friday afterwards.
A long long way to go though.

Yeah true, I hadn't considered the week before, if that's the case you'd think they'd go the Hawks/Pies blockbuster the friday night.

Looking at his hand from last week I'm not surprised. Grey certainly deserves his debut. It's not like Crowley needs his hand though. Just outbody his opposition... all the possessions/goals he gets are just a bonus. He probably couldn't pinch 300 times in a game with a hand that swollen though

How long does it take for the swelling to go down with an injury like that ? Could he miss next week too ? Hope not

Disrespectful. Yes.
A good bet. No.

He has only had 3+ kicks in 4/10 games this year. With the weather and opposition there is every chance that he only has a couple again.
I'm feeling it today. Do soccer kicks count?

Hope I don't come off as arrogant, but doubt the lions will put enough pressure on our defense that Zac will have no choose for his handpass.
