Opinion Round 14 Changes vs. Brisbane

So how were Pearce and Crowley at training? Both actually look like they have injuries that may benefit from a rest. Sure if it was a final, play. But it isn't. The Lions are ina dreadful situation plus they have a very poor record here already.

Yeah I would play Grey for a bit over a quarter as a tagger coming off the bench. Or start him as the tagger and sub him out for Mora to come on and another player to take over the tagging. Why not? Quite happy for him to play a different role as well. The Lions only have Rockliffe as a "must tag" type of player, and I would be happy to give that role to someone other than Crowley if his hand is not fully recovered.

Went down this morning, Pearce was joining in as per everyone else. Looked fine, no real sign of any niggle or injury. Ready 2 go.

Hard to pick who gets the vest this week; the majority of our starting 22 don't suit the sub-role; and our fringe players have been playing well enough to avoid it. C. Pearce might get it even though he's not suited the sub-role (see Port game); he makes a logical inclusion straight into half-back as we were looking a little stretched back there last week and Pearce can provide a great deal of support.

Lyon's shown this year that he doesn't really care who plays the sub. Nobody would have thought De Boer or Ibbotson would suit the sub either, but he's played them both there already.

If crowls is to miss, then having clancee come in makes some sense... as mz seems the obvious candidate to take his tagging spot, with clancee to come in as a hbf.

The Brisbane Lions have made 3 changes to their side ahead of Saturday night’s clash against the West Coast Eagles at Paterson's stadium.

The Lions take on the Eagles Saturday night at 5.40pm at Patersons Stadium.

Pretty embarrassing for the Lions to get that wrong, at least we don't need to change our game plan as we don't have one anyways haha.

Don't mind the change. Pearce in for the wet weather works for me. Maybe the game against Melbourne in a few weeks for Mora? Derby next week, don't know if you'd bring him back for that.
