Help me out guys, assuming the rest of your team was complete, which would you rather have out of the 2 options below?

Shaw, Gibbs, Goddard, Ellis, Hanley, Vlastuin, (Terlich, Docherty)
$100,100 in the bank & 4 trades

or

Gibbs, Goddard, Ellis, Heppell, Waters, Hanley, (Terlich, Docherty)
$0 in the bank & 4 trades

Just gotta work out who will score more points for you

Shaw+Vlastuin
Vs
Heppel+Waters

I think if Waters can get back to his form I would go Waters and Heppel but its risky

Need a little help, please...

I can't decide which backs to buy.
I have:
Goddard, Hanley, Birchall, Ibbotson, Terlich, Vlastuin (Thurlow, Heath)
And plan to trade Birchall and Vlastuin (when not named tonight) which gives me $1,017,800 to spend on Gibbs and someone. I can't afford Shaw and another keeper with these trades.

What do people think of Hibberd? He's currently 6th in average score. Hombsch is not an option. Trent McKenzie is 8th and I see a lot of talk about him this week.

Thanks I like that. What do you recommend with Vlastuin hold or ditch, was looking at Vlastuin - Heppell which would still leave me with $138k and 7 trades!
Personally everyone's jumping off Vlaustin in droves and I think it's a little premature. He's had one bad score. Hanley and Birch had three or four bad scores and everyone jumped on. If I had Vlaustin, and I know this opinion is in the minority, I'd hold him and see. If he comes good, it'll be a POD, if not trade him out. I'd just wait a few more weeks.

Waters had a lot of the pill last week, but absolutely butchered it, if he can get his shit together he should get you that 100 average IMO.

In saying that, Shaw and Vlas. Can always use the extra 100k to upgrade vlas later

Thanks for that.
Would prefer to flick Thurlow if I could afford to, keeping Vlas as D7. Only as I don't see Thurlow/Webster being much good for backup backs :)
Well you could do that too I suppose. Think here's a good chance of Thurlow generating coin. You wouldn't be trading until next week I assume so gives you two weeks of selections to decide.

Thinking of going Birch > Cannon.

Averaging 100.6 last 5 rounds.
Season high of 114, Low of 76.
Owned by 2.06%.
Finals run of Melb (Metricon) Port (AAMI) St Kilda (Etihad) GWS (Metricon)

Any reason why not?
Who??

First any day

Vlaustin > Shaw
Mcaffer > Nicnat

Purely on b/evens

Yeh, I'm leaning that way ATM. I really hate the thought of not having any trade money in the bank, it affectively means I have 1 less trade as I'd need to make a downgrade before I could upgrade a maxed out bench rook.

You'll find me in the vent thread if Waters scores 130+ and Vlas a green vest affected 30 though

I'm looking at upgrading McCaffer to Reiwoldt, Stokes, Ryder or Dusty with 510k to spend. Any opinions welcome, cheers.

Trading in Watson this week but is anyone else worried that all the drug scandal stuff could lead to either A) a form drop due to distractions, or B) Watson getting suspended from the AFL?

C) him smashing it to pieces this week just to stick it further up the AFL

Yep definitely the most likely scenario of the lot. I doubt anything will happen but with Watson (and Essendon for that matter) that will influence SuperCoach, I just thought I'd ask the question.

I will probably trade Birch to Hanley or Mckenzie. Also thinking about trading Mundy to Swan, I still have O'Meara and Hill as cover, with T. Mitchell as M8.

I would be left with 8 trades, roughly $20k (if i trade in Mckenzie) and a midfield of Ablett, Pendleberry, Watson, JPK, Deledio, J. Selwood, Swan, T. Mitchell (O'Meara, B. Hill).

Swan looks a lot better than Mundy, but my plans were to trade O'Meara to Swan in 2 weeks.

Any advice?

Now that the teams have been named and Thurlow is emergency, I don't think he'll last in my team.

If i can afford to get Shaw in, then my team should be pretty set for my leagues, so any potential cash Thurlow could make in weeks after that may be moot anyway :)
Still deciding whether to hold the trades till next week, or just shoot them out now and sit on it. Will suss out league games and projected prices for those involved and work it out from there :thumbsu:

Any idea how many of those in the top 5k have Barlow, Goodes, Stevie J and Birchall?

I have Stevie J and Jnr Goodes. Many others in my league have the same plus Birchall, not many Barlow as yet.
Im in top 3k.
In 3 leagues that are top 200.

just pull the trigger!

After much debate...

Birchall to Hanley

Next, trading out Vlastuin would give me $461k on the dot - 1k from getting a Garland/Mackenzie or 10k from Enright. Nothing too appealing anyway tbh, so...

Vlastuin to mid, traded out for Hunter (leaves me plenty of cash to upgrade B.Goodes/Mayes/Docherty next week)

Means every one of my 22 starters will be averaging over 90 except for B.Goodes (88 and obviously not starting 22 this week) and all my bench spots will be mostly filled with solid backup/cash cows. 7 trades remaining.

Thoughts? Will wait to hear from others before pulling the trigger.

Not to be a smart ass but they should be averaging over 100 by now. I guess that can be the task going forward. Use those cow to make some upgrades along the way.
