There’s no way that Birchall plays in this game. He’s been out for over 2 years and one VFL game isn’t enough. If it all goes well then pencil the Round 16 vs Collingwood MCG home game as his likely return.

needs 3-4 weeks in the VFL, especially if he's only playing half games. Puts him in line for a couple of farewell games, potentially.

Any idea what Jiath has done?

Lucky us, this this will probably be Nic Nat's first senior game for the year. They also get Barass and Willie Rioli back. The good news is McGovern will miss unless they successfully challenge his suspension.

Well its at the MCG instead of Etihad like last year. I don't think its a coincidence our last two performances have been our worst for the year just happened to be at Etihad and the SCG. West Coast have been brittle this year and are ripe for an upset, but its hard to see where we find the scoring power to be competitive.

Outs.. Roughy, Poppy, obrien, Bruest.

Ins..Lewis, Ross, Cousins, Nash.

O’Brien hasn’t warranted dropping - has been decent the last month. Made one mistake yesterday but he wasn’t Crusoe there ffs. Would have him in over Nash every day of the week.

We just seem to be shuffling deckchairs each week. Fringe players not quite nailing their chances when given a run, nobody in the 2s really demanding to be recalled, rinse repeat

I don't think that Brand is structurally required in our best 22. Frawley, TOB, Sic is enough height and works well in combo. Scrim should take Brand's place.

Our mids already don't win enough ball so the Morrison selection for Cousins this week was baffling as he doesn't find the footy enough and gets pushed off it too easily. For all his limitations Cousins is better value right now and should return. Not much other depth available. Howe is now 50 odd games in to his career and never fully cemented a place. Jones will hopefully get a chance at some stage soon.

The only way I see Rough keeping his place is to play second ruck/forward in place of Cegs. Lewis simply has to come back in for either Rough or Cegs.

Moore and Glass should keep their spots as they are both improving each week and having a crack.

Got a feeling that Big Roughy might call stumps this week and play his last game vs West Coast this Saturday. Season is over and he doesn’t need to run round again in the magoos.
