May is a dickhead.

Checking is it a full moon?

One of the more astonishing results seen in recent years!! Even with Cripps playing surely nobody would have given Carlton a chance. Without him, not even worth thinking about!!

We're seeing an extraordinary year of football, absolutely one of the competition's best ever, and results like that one only make it more remarkable. Most Collingwood fans won't be happy at seeing Carlton win (and get off the bottom), but it was a great result for the competition, as it leaves teams as low as 14th-placed St Kilda only one win off a spot in the eight. Just a magnificent season!

If only we played with half as much determination and effort as Carlton. Make no mistake, they will beat us next year.
Do we play them again? They will start favourites.
Hilarious!! Based on what, exactly? So Carlton had a really good win, on the same weekend that we had probably our worst effort in a year or so (with about a third of our best side missing), and now they're better than us?! We're second, they're second to last.

Your continued presence here (and posts like the above) is surely proof that our mods are a very easy-going bunch?!!

This is missed by most.

To think, even amongst our travails, were still 2nd on the ladder.

Off your game 5% and the opposition is on their game, anything can happen.

Port bears Geelong; Ports loses to Bulldogs; we beat bulldogs.

Every game is pretty much contestable.

If we have a nightmare, key is to learn and move on.

Do the little things well; get the ball, use the ball well; then everything goes up a cog.

Now we play a ailing Hawthorn at the MCG.
Let’s just return to our better play.

Onwards upwards.

Bizarre season, but that makes it interesting.
