Didn’t help having Ollie, Allir and Luko (or even Marshall) out, along with JHF lame and Bergman with the shoulder - but I reckon our depth is a big problem. Its just so young, and playing SANFL and a different style just makes skill development poor.

We are only competitive with a full list to choose from. The reality is that this isn’t going to happen often. We are a confidence team with all the youngsters out there.

Last year it was no small forwards, key defenders the year before, this year key forwards (and everyone else).

We could really do with some free agents.

Seeing the melts on here about Carr is certainly amusing.

Going to be chalk and cheese between Ken and Carr in terms of the differences in how they each will run the footy program.
not sure where your confidence comes from but I hope your right.. I have zero confidence unless we clean everyone else out

How many times have we see this performance whenever the is a bit of hope.. as soon as we start an upward trend we shit the bed.. unprepared, unwilling to work hard..it felt like the geelong final.. we didn’t turn up, only difference is Sydney are a bog ordinary side.. should have been 70 point lost

I support the Port Adelaide Football Club. This is a Port forum.

I support the most successful football club in the history of the sport, not "a little club from Alberton". I support a club where the captain wears the #1, not a club that can't make a decision and ends up with two blokes trying to share it. I support a club that exists to win premierships, not a club that just wants to proudery makery the community.

I support the club that's existed since 1870 and will continue to exist long after these current jokers and parasites have left. And most of all I'll support Josh Carr, once the biggest parasite finally makes way.

If you are willing to happily tolerate this garbage I'd question whether you actually support Port Adelaide.

How lovely for you to choose when you’re going to be a supporter of the club.

Our Captain wears the number one and I’m prepared to move on from a decision made in 2019 tried for one year and then acknowledged it didn’t work. I didn’t like the decision at the time, it annoyed me all year but I’m not giving up on my club because of it.

I’m proud of the work we do in the community and particularly proud of the fact that Russell Ebert lead the community work.

I support Josh Carr now even though our midfield appears to be struggling and I’m hopeful but not convinced he’s the answer.

When it comes to Port Adelaide I’m an always was always will be - as were my parents and as are my kids.

There are plenty every year. It’s 18 games against 23.
This is just nuts. It's a 10-team competition, so you play each team twice, and the top 5 from the previous season play each other a third time, and the bottom 5 do likewise, a total of 22 rounds each, and a little bit of "equalisation" to make it more interesting.

But what would I know, having last lived in SA in 1973...

You must not have read my post properly. Im always a supporter of Port Adelaide.

If you actively support Hinkley and the bastardisation of our values and traditions you are supporting anti-Port Adelaide actors.

Also you are misrepresenting my point on community work. Im pretty sure you're well aware of that so I wont elaborate further.

The jury.is out for Dante. Most rucks have at least one strength, be it mobility, tap work, marks around the ground, goal kicking etc. He doesn't seem to be particularly good at any single one of these. Not sure which way we go with him but unfortunately we have 3 ruckman on the list and you could play all 3 of them and still get pantsed
Ivan Maric is the sort of player you'd hope for.

Throw his weight around, give 100% every week and be a cult figure while we're down the bottom.

I think everyone's tolerance and patience with this club has worn thin, I've had a gutful, but you were having a crack at people watching the game. So if i want to still watch a game i'm supporting the bastardisation of our values and traditions and supporting anti-Port Adelaide actors? So we can't watch the team play because the coach that has already been given his notice and will be gone in 9 games or less is still coaching?

Saying that I admire people's patience is having a crack at them? How exactly?

In fact what I was saying is exactly what you've said, in different words. That any reasonable Port supporter would have had an absolute gutful by now and those that can still tolerate it have a higher constitution than myself.

Its a totally different conversation to the happy clapper argument being discussed Expat.

The team we had yesterday was more than enough to win it was an absolute spineless performance and gets down to work rate, so many lazy mentality soft footballers who rely on 3 or 4 to do the heavy lifting week after week.
Accept mediocrity and you become mediocre which is what this club has become.

The sooner we get rid of this excuse mentality we have developed the better..
It’s a bad one from Miles and I’m sure he’d love to have that one back, but I blame the environment he’s in at the club more than him.

Poor performance and failure has been excused for too long which manifests itself in him saying things like he did yesterday, which he probably thinks is perfectly okay and normal.

Hinkley and the wider club has been pumping the flu excuse for a fortnight. Of course Miles thinks it's ok.
