The Dragons sneak away to a two-game break after accounting for the Furues in a tight contest at Punt Road. They move onto 11 wins and have acquired a handy gap over the rest of the competition. West Coast Wonders are second but another loss sees them fall away from top place even further as their poor form continues. Their once-strong percentage is now only a fraction of a point higher than the Dragons and only one percent better than the Hawks.

The Furies remain third after losing to the Dragons, they blew a big chance to move into second spot with the Wonders kicking themselves out of their game. East Side move into 4th and are the form team of the competition at the moment, easily defeating the lowly Demons at home. The Hawks are a real chance for a top three finish if they can keep their form up and the top couple of sides keep having troubles in the final few rounds.

Mod Squad drop back to fifth due to an inferior percentage and now have a win-loss record which has more losses than victories. Baghdad remain sixth after beating a the Mods in what turned out to be a thrilling contest which has kept the Bombers' finals hopes alive. The same can be said for the Gumbies in 7th with a win also keeping their finals aspirations in tact after defeating a woefully inaccurate Wonders outfit.

However, the same can't be said for the Demons who are now more than a game behind the rest in last place. With six games to go, they find themselves more than three games outside the five and now have the worst percentage in the league. Their leaky defence needs to be shored up if they want to start winning games but their finals hopes are all over now.
