Thinking of doing:

Cornes -> Silvester
Foley -> Sewell

then next week

Rich -> Pendles
M.Brown -> Chapman/Davis or any forward.

This will leave my side with Grimes and Broughton on the field, and only 2 trades for injuries for finals - but a fair bit still in the bank.

worth it? My team will look pretty nice after the above trades:

Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Newman, H.Shaw, Grimes, Broughton (Silvester/Petrenko)
Ablett, Judd, Sewell, Selwood, Pendlebury, Dal Santo (Muston/Zaharakis)
Cox, McIntosh (White/Spencer)
Riewoldt, O'Keefe, Pavlich, Chapman, Deledio, Higgins, Franklin (Walker/Ballantyne)

A little upside in Franklin too, hopefully.

Obviously when full strength, Cornes, Watson and Cox come into the side, leaving my only real problem my seventh forward. The plan had always been trade Broughton to Silvester (or somebody similar) and then upgrade Walker to Davey. However, I was thinking that I could downgrade Cornes instead and gain an extra 70k?

We were talking about that on the podcast today. I think the consensus was that you are better off trading out a higher priced but underperforming premium than you are trading out Broughton. Pocket the extra cash and upgrade better somewhere else.

I know that Cornes is a chance to play this week, but given his injury history i am uncertain how effective he is likely to be.

Was thinking the same thing. Am more tempted to trade out Hodge or Burgoyne than Broughton at this stage

Got Warren on the bench and out for season so hes not going to lose money obviously.
But with Ballantyne going up this week is it worth trading him in now so i hae back up for the next 7 rounds or just wait for another rookie to come in. I want back up as i missed it last week with Johnson late ommission.
So trade Warren now or wait?

looking like just the 1 trade this week.

Ziebell --> Ballantyne

Leaves me with 7 trades, 3 upgrades (1 back, 1 ruck, 1 forward) to go. $390k in the kitty

Just waiting for Drummond and Harvey to bottom out.

Is Brent Harvey a safe option to trade in for Sidebottom or will he play more shockers like on the weekend?

Im inclined to say more shockers like the weekend going on his scores so far this year. Scores of 54,59,73,161,0,114,& 40. It isnt really much to write home about. I believe his injury was blessing in disguise because me & many others were forced to trade him and got us away from his horrible horrible form he has had this year

Thanks for that mate, doing so will give me 400k in the kitty.

Cheers.

I've got five trades left and hopefully, Cox Pav and Cornes back in the next two weeks. Considering Malceski and Angus Graham for Silvester and Zac Clarke in a straight salary dump to give me nearly 400k to spend on my last three trades. Upgrades that could be made then include Buddy and Skipworth out for Chapman and Pendlebury. Big decision, considering Clarke and Silvester will go up in value after this week.

Thinking of doing;
Rich -> Anthony
Sidebottom -> Riewoldt.
With 4 trades and 90k in the bank and complete side except for 6th mid.

orrr

This week; Cornes/Grimes/Broughton -> Silvestre or rookie back
Sidebottom -> Riewoldt
Next week; Rich -> Pendles.
Which leaves me a complete side but with only 3 trades left for LTI's....

thoughts?

Unfortuantly like Judd_Magic I also love to trade and have 3 left.

So I thought it should be better to save them.

I'm suffering trade withdrawal Symptoms. :(

ROFL! :D:thumbsu:

Welcome aboard mate to Judd Magics Trading Anonymous rehab.

Its hard to go cold turkey when you have so little trades left but I have many cures which are similar to wearing a patch or chewing gum.

1. My Dreamteam team - I make a trade nearly every week in this, not two but mainly one which helps me kick the habit to trade in SuperCoach.

2. Help other people trade - I made a trade for my brother last week as he couldn't get to a PC in time and drafted in Marc Murphy and Ballantyne in for him. Felt like I was doing my own trades and I was drinking a bit so I didn't care if I accidentally traded out Ablett by mistake for Muston! ROFL!

3. Get people to private message you for trade advice - This is personally one of my favorites. I can give people all sorts of trading advice and if it goes pear shaped then its their trades down the toilet and not mine. :p

All three methods have stopped my itchy trigger trade finger from using all my trades and I still have 4 left compared to last years 2.

I think I might go have a beer...:thumbsu:

I'd go option 1. Anthony is scoring well anyway so it wouldn't be a complete disaster if you ended up keeping him.

Anyone else thinking of trading Cox if he doesn't come up this week? Copping 0's for him is really hurting and if a 1 week injury is turning into 3 it might be more serious than we all thought. OP anyone??

No trades this week. 1 because I don't need to, and 2 because I can't afford to. Hoping my team doesn't suffer any serious injuries between now and round 20 or so.

Same. I've got four trades left and a basically sound team anyway. I'm certain that somebody will get injured eventually, so I'll hold off until that happens...

I really want more trades in this game. Trading is the most enjoyable aspect of SC.

Trading good players is, but when you get donkeys in like Muston/Duddy then oh well...lol

I've got 4 trades left and i don't know what to do. I don't know who i should trade out of the backline.

Backline: B.Goddard, C.Newman, T.Lockyer, S.Gilbert, C.Enright, J.Grimes, G.Broughton, J.Drummond.

I need to trade one of those players and upgrade L.Franklin for P.Chapman, A.Didak or R.O'Keefe.

Who do you think I should trade?

Personally, I would look at upgrading Brown before Buddy. I know Buddy's being a flipping clown but surely he cant continue to post those kind of scores. Buddy has a much higher ceiling than Brown and Brown is very capable of posting bad-Buddy like scores.

I wouldnt touch anyone from your backline either. I guess you could look at bringing in Anthony i suppose.

edit: Especially while Buddy and Brown are similarly priced :D

Pendles Option 1 sounds better, i think Rich will now flutter up\down on this price as Power has found form again
Ttoo much upside & value to continue for Grimes\Broughton & potentailly even Cornes if Port can continue on the merry way.

wow that def could be awesome if drummo was back and in form.
not sure who you should trade there.
but df keep buddy get rid of ziebell. hes ot for the season and is only 36k less in value. this would put franklin on the bench if you wont.

have 4 trade left and 186k in the bank

bringing in pendles for zaharakis next week or the week after

want to bring in drummond but for either grimes/broughton/cornes or i downgrade 1 of them and bring in drummond for 1 of them

then i can upgrade buddy or skipworth to a premium forward

any thoughts?
