Grimes & Broughton are scoring brilliantly and Cornes is back this week. Drummond now has an injury issue. So just leave your defence it sounds as strong as anybody elses. The extra points you might get from Drummond over Grimes for the rest of the season are so low it's not worth 1 whole trade. Better off covering a premium who's out for 2-3 weeks (refer my "greatest value from remaining trades thread"!).

Just used your $186 to upgrade to Pendles and leave your 3 remaining trades for LTIs I reckon.

If it were me down to 4 trades I'd leave both Buddy and Skippy because you just know there'll be more injuries and then we'll be faced with players being rested at the end. You'll wish you had 4 extra trades by then.

50% of teams have Buddy so you aren't really disadvantaged.

I believe his injury was blessing in disguise because me & many others were forced to trade him and got us away from his horrible horrible form he has had this year

Thanks for that advice. I think i'll stay away from boomer. I then have two options.

Option 1: Rich>94k mid(Broadbent, Djerrkura), Sidebottom>Riewoldt
i'd have 4 trades left and 200k to upgrade Ballantyne later on.

Option 2: Sidebottom>Davey, next week: Rich>Pendles
I would be left with 4 trades but virtually no cash to upgrade Ballantyne

Option 1 would mean playing Anthony on the field for the rest of the season and missing out on Pendlebury. So i think i'll do option 2 and hope Davey can keep up the big scores.
 
Here's some food for thought for the guys that want to get involved and give some advice.

I've started doing my wife's team for her. She's just too busy. Unfortunately, I think she's going to come over the top of me in the end.. :eek: (And not in a good way either.. :D)

I've been on a cash grab for her over the last cple of weeks and we now have the following;

Trades remaining: 9

Cash in bank: $780k

Team:

Back: Gilbee, Harding, Burgoyne, Dawson
Hill, Suban, Spangher

Petrenko, Pearce

Mid: Bartel, Kirk, Cornes, Priddis, Foley, Vince

Dangerfield, Meyer

Rucks: Petrie, Kruezer

White, Jacobs

Fwd: Chappy, Brown, Higgins, Franklin, LeCras, Stokes, Jurrah

Goodwin, Ballantyne.

The good news is that just about all of the team are getting a run but plenty of work to do. I'm thinking Roo needs to come into the fwd line, and Ablett into the midfield. After a cple of below average scores for both, they're not going to get much riper.

Long time lurker first time poster. I have a problem. I play the top team this week in my league (I am currently 2nd) and a loss will see me drop to 5th. I have 7 trades left with $160K in the bank. My problem is that I have both B Hall (took the risk at the start of the year :eek:) and Nathan Foley. However I also have Harry Taylor and Stevie J who I see are both in doubt this week and no cover in backline or forward line (until I make the Hall trade).

Mids: G Ablett, C Judd, J Bartel, D Rich, S Higgins, L Anthony (N Foley, B Muston) - If Muston comes in this week then I at least have cover short term.

Fwds: L Davis, S Johnson, J Brown, B Fevola, L Franklin, D Thomas, and H Ballantyne (B Hall, W Thompson)

So the dilemma is obviously trade out Hall, but as you can see the forward line needs some serious work. Who should I go for? I planned to go for Harvey but the toe concerns me.

I am thinking of holding onto Foley this week if Muston plays (he will be emerg) and then maybe upgrade to Pendelbury next week.

Help! :confused:

Would consider Drummond for Hill when he's back and his price has dropped to around early $400k.

Worth considering L.Anthony as a good backup option in the midfield and to save up some more cash yet again. Pendles could be good for $400k ruffly in the middle, though your midfield may not really need him.

Up forward it would be worth looking at Pavlich a couple weeks after he comes back to replace Duddy Franklin.

After those minor changes, you would/could still have 5 trades and over $500k left over for some larger upgrades to form players in the finals.

know its a trade but at least he is b/up with my other spud jacob 2-3 weeks away(assuming he gets picked) according to martin pyke on the radio
 
Raines - Silvester and Jacobs - White leaving me with $365K and 4 trades. Seem vaguely sensible?

I could just do Jacobs- White, but that leaves me with less cash ($185-odd), but an extra trade. Just want to get rid of Raines for someone who might play a few more games, and I'm hoping that young Jarrod might fit the bill...

My league opponent this week is in a world of hurt (5 zeros plus Spuddy in the forwards last week:eek:), so I could probably hold off, take the likely zero from Cox and reconsider next week as well.

After 2 years of Judd-less SCing I've finally brought the **** in and made him Captain. Now watch him get 50...

just need some asap expert advice, im looking to trade monfries for brent harvey, i know its a sideways trade blah blah i dont care about that. just want to know if boomer is a good risk? after injury and all?

I wouldnt trade with that team and only 5 trades left.
 
Probably better off asking on team boards (both me and others ;) )...

...but any Freo guys about?

Sandilands has been in monster form all season...spend a lot of time up forward (ie. out of the ruck) last week, so is there a bad injury going on?

...or given West Coast played Fletcher, Cockie and a couple of other duds last week for no good reason, are you two out West having some of taking contest?

Cox, McIntosh (Jacobs, Browne)

Davis, Chapman, Pavlich, S. Johnson, Higgins, Franklin, Skipworth (M. Brown, Warren)

SJ, Skipworth, Pavlich out this week and Warren out for the season. My forward line has fallen apart. I was going to sell Cornes upgrade Skipworth to O'Keefe, upgrade Grima to Drummond in a couple of weeks.

But now Cornes is back and half my forward line is out. What do people recommend? I have 67K in the bank. Ranked 3K overall.

LeCras >> Davis
Walker >> Porplyzia

or

LeCras >> Chapman
Walker >> Akermanis

Your thoughts?

I'm leaning towards option one.

Might still keep thinking about it. Maybe straight swap Jacobs- Vickery
