Brogan to retire... Welcome aboard Matty Lobbe.

^ This :thumbsu:

Think I'll keep 211 now (no surgery) will be back in 4 weeks. Will go McCauley>Lobbe instead. Straight swap price wise. Which would leave me with Cox, ZSmith, Petrie, Lobbe + Sandi for DT finals! :) Surely no doughnuts with that many playing ruck options for the rest of the year? :confused:

Will be interesting to see how Jolly goes when he gets back in the side and if he can pick up his scoring to a premium level (which it wasn't at this season so far). Could be a good direct swap (or near enough) for ZSmith later down the track come finals time??

Matera to Goodes or Cloke
Lower to Enright/Fisher/Shaw

Made no grounds in the decision process today, all seem very good options

I'd be inclined to offload Matera, since Lower's more likely to put out a nice score.

Which one?
A) Mzungu to Callinan, Heppell to Scotland
B) Prestia to Callinan, Bartel to Mitchell.

Mids are: Swan, Ablett, Boyd, Murphy, Pendles, Bartel Dids M7
Backs are: Goddard, Gibbs, Enright, Deledio, Duffield, Suckling, Stanley, Heppell D8

I have 9 trades and $28,800 remaining. To complete my side I really want to bring in Ablett and Fisher but the only way to do that is to downgrade Smith. I also want to avoid using 4 trades but I might have to in the end.

This week
Zac Smith > Lobbe
Anthony > Ablett

Next week
Heppel, Hibberd or Puopolo > Fisher

My current ruck situation is Cox, Petrie, Smith and Bailey. Has Anybody else traded Smith or contemplating cashing him in?

Where is the link to Brogan retiring?

The extra 12k for Lobbe instead of J.Tippett at the start of the year seems to have paid off

Very similar situation :thumbsu:

I have 9 trades and $30k left. 2 upgrades to go - a premium mid (Ablett) and back (Fisher) to go to complete my side. Unfortunately I have Sandi and need to move on him.

I would keep Zac Smith if you can, and perhaps look to downgrade a Heppell/Duigan/Krak type?

So... after a fair while of lurking and never posting much I've decided to join in the conversation by asking for opinions on what I should do next, but also maybe a bit of a broad question on the importance of strong bench cover for the second half of the season:

As it stands I am 492nd and have 8 trades in hand, though if it weren't for the Poece of s@#t dreamteam app and the mother flipping connection errors I'd be ~300th after my only late withdrawal of the year wasn't covered by an emergency.

Team is: (18k cash)
Gibbs, Deledio, Suckling, Enright, Broughton, Goddard, Adcock (Heppel, Puopolo, Howard)

Pendlebury, Mitchell, Murphy, Boyd, Stanton, Cotchin (Mzungu, Prestia, Jacobs)

Cox, Luenberger (Tippet, McCulloch)

Pavlich, Sylvia, Goodes, Franklin, Chapman, Petrie, Riewoldt (Didak, Yarran, Lynch)

Now initially I was under the impression that Didak's injury was a bit more serious than what's been reported, so I planned on downgrading him to Callinan to create cash. My plan was always to get Swan into the team at this stage and in my head it was always going to be a cheap upgrade from Cotchin, but the general raft of injuries over the last few weeks has made me instead consider the benefits of going from Presta/Mzungu all the way to Swan and leaving Cotch as my Mid 7.

I'm aware that if he only gets used for byes it becomes a bit of a waste, other teams will have ISmith/Mzungu/whoever filling in, but in the event of an LTI to a common midfielder, or multiple missing in the same week I feel it could be a real advantage, I brought Didak in in the first place to be cover for Fwd/Mid even with Yarran there as it is.

But now it seems didak is only two or so weeks away my dilemma comlicates itself a bit more, I can:

1) Didak -> Callinan
Prestia/Mzungu -> Swan

2) Didak -> Callinan
Cotchin -> Swan
plus some change just in case

3) Lynch -> Callinan
Cotchin -> Swan
and hope yet again Didak comes good

4) Anything I've obviously missed and realise at 5pm on Friday

So yeah, that's where I'm at, and what is everyones thoughts on the quallity of bench cover needed, especially given the number of people that've gone very hard very early and will hit trade trouble towards the end

1) Didak -> Callinan
Prestia/Mzungu -> Swan

I'd go these trades. Didak seems to be a spud this year and I regret trading him in myself. With Cotchin and Yarran you have adequate cover, hence no need to keep Dids.

Now you just have to work out who out of Mzungu and Prestia is the biggest liability/asset.

Sandi -> McEvoy
Mumford -> Bailey

I have NFI.... McEvoy will break his leg and Bailey will get suspended now... :thumbsd:

Then the week after:

Didak -> no idea... someone awesome who's had 2 byes. Can't think of any.

7 trades, 100k in the bank.

Considering:
Bartel->Chapman
A.Smith->Andreoli (for DP)

Will effectively allow me to play Goddard instead of I.Smith.

Current team:
Deledio, Gibbs, Rawlings, Duffield, Fisher, Enright, Suckling (Goddard, Puopolo, Jacobs)

Swan, Mitchell, Boyd, Thompson, Ablett, Bartel (Mzungu, Prestia, A.Smith)

Cox, Petrie (Z. Smith, Gawn)

Franklin, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Goodes, Higgins, SJ, I.Smith (Tippett, Breust, Richardson)

3 trades and $35, 100 in the bank, team as of round 15:

Gibbs, Deledio, Shaw, Heppell, Goddard, Broughton, Lower (Adcock, Puopolo, Hibberd)
Murphy, Boyd, Pendlebury, Mitchell, Swan, Ablett (Prestia, Jacobs, Mzungu)
Petrie, Zac Smith (Cox, Derickx)
Fyfe, Sylvia, Goodes, Franklin, Chapman, Riewoldt, I. Smith (Darling, Howe, T. Lynch)

No trades this week but next week thinking of doing Howe > Callinan after Adelaide's 2nd bye. Getting Callinan in to boost FWD/MID DPP links. What do you think of this trade as I am very tight on trades atm and my team this round?

I think with 3 Trades and $35k you'd be brave to waste one on getting cash and an additional DP link.

You've got your links (Prestia/Mzungu - Fyfe, Sylvia, Goodes, Chapman).

You should probably sit on your trades until finals time. Pretty damn good team you have there, and you'll no doubt probably want something up your sleeve with Gibbs/Murphy out for the prelim.

I've been more of a supercoacher than a Dt'er over the years but doing ok sitting 2769th overall.

In supercoach, it's a sin to have to many in from the same team due to it's scoring system.
Does this rule apply to DT?

I'm looking to trade Sandi and thinking Mcevoy due to his high average and no byes remaining but that will leave me with 5 Saints. If I do this my team will look like so with 3 trades left.

BACKS: Gibbs, Carrazzo, Deledio, Suckling, Enright, Fisher, Goddard.
(Hibberd, Toy, Strauss)
MIDS: Murphy, Swan, Moloney, Goodes, Dal Santo, J.Selwood.
(Jacobs, Callinan, Mzungu)
RUCKS: Cox, Mcevoy.
(Keefe, J.Tippett)
FWDS: Fyfe, Sylvia, Harvey, Franklin, Chapman, N.Riewoldt, Petrie.
(T.Lynch, Howe, I.Smith)

So team will look pretty stocked but is 5 Saints an issue?

Ta

There is no issue in having a whole bunch of players from the same team - apart from byes this year.

In the past teams used to be stacked full of Geelong players who would just rack up the DT points as a team. Hawthorn players seem to be doing similar this year.
