It's why I'm surprised to see Nash named down back, I don't know what manual is circulating amongst the HFC coaching staff, but the conventional wisdom is to keep young players playing the same role and let them improve, instead of switching them to the other end of the ground every 5 minutes. Especially talls... Hopefully it's just a quirk of the team-sheet.

You do realise players don’t have to start where they are named on a Thursday night.

Mitch has shown just as much ability and talent at the elite level as Josh Schache, both boys went to school together at Assumption so it’s interesting to monitor their development.

We have seen the development in Schache since Beveridge has showed faith and stuck with him, let’s hope Clarko affords Mitch that same continuity.

Nash in defence is a brilliant idea, all for it.
