Maybe if you get your hand off your knob (sorry mouse) in your bedroom... You would see that we are getting humiliated every week...

Yet the same shit players are doing the same shit things and getting games.

Good on Dewar for getting the rising star nom... But he along side Kelly and Flynn were quite possibly the worst players in the first half.

You and and floggy bigfooty mates(imaginary )are getting on my case for posting stuff... Grow the f..K up mate...
And yet you still want to drop him.
OK.

Makes sense.
LOL

Along with a host of other players... Don't get so triggered mate

In any case I feel that he is a natural forward playing in defence and doesn't suit him...

Drop Kelly and put Dewar there... He'll be a natural!

Rebel your a passionate supporter like the rest of us, I get dropping Kelly, but Dewar’s second half was very good and we need to get games into our talented kids.

I was watching it on Fox. The commentators had a crack at him. Someone said, "mini is try to work out the midfield mix, maybe they should put Duggan in there", to which another commentator responded with, "They started him in the middle and he's part of the problem". I did a Roscoe P Coltrane laugh. They're onto him. It's not just us.
The commentator saying Duggan was part of the problem was Simmo, so maybe not so much the general media being onto him. Was still a highlight of the game for me though.

Yep Dewar's second half was good..

I don't see any overlapping from anyone of our defenders which is a huge issue.. we just become predictable... Look at someone like ollie hollands and Saad from last weeks opposition..

Great skills and great run.

Guys like Duggan Ginbey Maric... Don't want to play on ever...

We've got more talented kids in the WAFL that we can possibly blood games into

I just hope we don't deteriorate back to losing by 100 every other week.

There have been some promising signs but we're just so light on for talent and experience currently.

If it's as simple as Allen and Edwards out, Archer Reid and Bazzo in we'll start next week with 1644 games of total experience which is 337 fewer than the next least experienced (GWS) this week). And that's after Cripps came back in vs North after missing a couple of games, and before Hunt or Kelly or Duggan get sacrificed at the altar.
With Allen possibly gone for the season, it's all up in the air really.
Need to seriously take stock of our situation during the bye, which is not much time as the group is already preparing for the Pies game in the 2nd week.
As co-captain, I can't see Duggan being dropped, we've lost three senior leaders already if Gov doesn't return.

The team's definitely showing more resilience than earlier in the season, they hang in for four quarters now and keep slugging it out. But as you suggest there's a line between that and falling away into severe losses again due to youth and lack of experience and talent. Keeping team balance is crucial.

We're facing four top 8 sides after the bye, a 9th side, an 11th side (we just got schooled by a 10th side), a 13th, 15th, and Richmond. The main concern at present is our skill levels, which seemed to be improving, in good weather, when we had our run n' gun game going. But the skills relapsed against the Roos in fine weather, then were shocking in the wet against Carlton. Just hope we can stay in games and not get hammered too much on the scoreboard. As mentioned before the Pies have won the last 5 games and this will be their 6th straight game in Melbourne!!!? Yet they only won by a point against Demons (15th) - must be the Gawn factor?

I'm ok with bringing in youth if they're ready and not thrown to the wolves. At the same time you'd want to blood some remaining ones before season's end, where possible.
I'm also okay with TK doing another loop in the Wafl.
But let's see how we set up post bye. The coach is really going to earn his stripes from here on in...

Only time Duggans close to coming to look like a kid was last year under simmo. Then again He had a Fit Yeo, Harley was unreal as a first year player and Tk wasn’t this useless

Also he had Barrass/Gov/Hough as a far, far more solid defensive core.

It's honestly pretty mindblowing that we are playing the aggressive style that we're playing with such an inexperienced and unsettled defence. I think Hedwards/Brock/Ginbey are doing far better than people.give them credit for, when the rapid ball movement comes unstuck they are put under huge pressure.

Do you have functioning eyes?
Do you... I wouldn't know... But not really something I really want to know dipsh*t..

It's so impressive that you can highlight words though... Your bigfooty pals must be so pleased...

Anyway back to the point.. apart from McCarthy... Who was willing to handball (cleanly)... And then follow up for the handball back and skillfully link up the ground... Which of the three I mentioned... Including your impressive highlighted one... actually were able to do that consistently?

Pretty sure I saw Ginbey keep 2x Coleman Medalist Charlie Curnow to 1 goal and 5 touches with my functioning eyes. That's his primary job.

Well not a bad quarter and 10 mins work I guess (that's how long curnow was out there)... Unless your double vision eyes saw something else?

But way to go on giving him an out on his offensive game...

By the way bud it's a generalisation on our defence as a whole... Completely disjointed... And low skilled... And low confidence...because of low skills... Just like other posters have mentioned.

He's been fairly decent defensively this year I admit...but I think he needs a ton of work offensively...

I guess I'm more forgiving of a sub 50 game player for not being the finished product yet than you are.

Fair enough, I forgot that Curnow got injured.

The AFL must have been desperate to give the nomination to a WCE player. Whatever Dewar did in the second half didn't go anywhere near to wiping out the crap he dished up in the first half. It's a pity t-mac wasn't 4 yrs younger

Can you leave some ellipses for the rest of us? Used up an entire thread’s quota in two posts there.

He just lack explosive break away pace to attack and defend as a mid. That was simmo's point when dumbo said they should shift Duggan to the mid (where he started)

Disposal and composure in the back 50 would improve if we put Hough back there. Yes, he is worth trying as a mid, but he is really, really good down back. When you add a player with good composure and remove one with less composure its a big percentage improve when you only have 6 backs. Also, leave Hall in the midfield in place of Hough for now. Hough has time to develop but we need to sure up the back half. Hall is the only real inside mid we have at the moment. Play him there full the full game.

Bo looks the goods down back as well, perhaps rolling up to the wing later. But leave him back there for now. A rotating back six of HEdwards, SBrock, RGinbey, TMcCarthy, BHough, BAllen and LBaker looks good. Hough adds alot. I can see Ginbey, Hough, McCarthy and Allen being the foundations for a premiership back line. Hard, competitive and composed.

If we want to keep some experience in the team I'd seriously play Cole in the forward 50 in place of Kelly. He is slightly manic and will help lock it in. Wish we could drop Duggan but it wont happen.

Shanahan in for Oscar makes sense, but I'd be inclined to go small this week. BWilliams and JWilliams as forwards with a small brigade around them. Perhaps even move Maric to the half forward line.

I'd really like to move on from Flynn but Mini wont do that. I think a rotating ruck duo of BWilliams and JWilliams would be OK and provide better ground ball coverage. Keeps us from being too tall as well. I think they would both match up well with Cameron. If we drop Flynn then I'd bring in Shanahan.
