I love Peter Brooks nephew and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The guy is lighting quick and clearly will be an asset to our ball movement in future, he does a lot of running off his man and in a situation where we aren't losing every game so comfortably opponent forwards are going to have to go with him a lot more which is going to gas them out nicely. Still a bit slight of body but he's a smart operator who seems to read the play pretty well and is much better one on one than should be expected. Extremely handy left foot too, team high 2 score launches from his vision exiting defence. I am completely comfortable with him and Edwards being our guys long term. The expectations on this board are ridiculous at times he's been a shining light. So far as Archer goes, we shouldn't be writing his chances of being a forward off yet for a start and yes if he was instead to become our #1 ruckman he may well be elite there as well. Big preseason looming for a lot of these guys, I expect much better things from them all in 2026.
agree with all that, Brocks been here 5 minutes and is building very well into the season.
He is a little more advanced than any would have expected, probably because of his time at GC but we have a ripper there.
Edwards is exceeding the harshest critics this year, including mine and hope he continues his progression and can see there is a solid KPD player in there.
We desperately need another KPD through trade or draft, Bazzo is showing he is a 3rd tall and depth at this stage and that's ok.
We just need Busslinger and they can fight it out for the best player.
Next years KPD NGA D Shanahan is a super athletic type and at 194cm already he projects very nicely.
Archer will be fine wherever he finds his spot, just like Shanahands that pick 30 looks to be elite so far with 2 KP players of the highest quality developing.

I get Peter Brooks nephews upside mate and there is a player there for sure, he does worry me with the blatant squibs and lack of confidence in himself, needs to get some big one on one competitive training sessions done over the summer, just non stop exhaustive body positioning work and repeat defences on the lead.

Who the f**k is Peter Brook?
If you're going to name drop a dead bloke at least give him the respect of getting his name right

I believe Jeremy McGovern's schedule has opened up considerably for one to one tuition. Available now to a select few AFL KPDs.

Ginbey got a shout out from Jarrad Schofield in the after match function for keeping Elliott quiet.
Oh really? I definitely wasn't there and I wouldn't steal Schofield's talking point.

Adding Jobe to the list of “must play every week for the rest of the year” along with Bo Allan.

All I could think watching the game was how on earth did he last till pick 30

If I went blind into that game and you told me he went top 10 I would have believed you without hesitation

++ Hough. Loving the look of the HHH midfield. His work in tight and breaking out of tackles was particularly impressive.
++ HEdwards, for what he lacks in speed, he makes up in competitiveness. You can just tell the guy hates losing, he will be more then alright for us.
++ Hutch was good, I wonder if Hunt out had anything to do with structures and him getting more ball. I just think hes that type of player that will be a lock and forget once he hits the 40-50 game mark.
++ Jobe very impressive
++ TMac. i'd extend him already before the pricktoians come knocking with $$
++ Hall to me looks like a player. keep pumping game into him

-- Holy macaroni, has there ever been a more overrated player then nick daicos. I just dont get it, he good when he gets cheap ball sure. but commentators are acting like he is doing something never seen before. not even gonna tune into brownlow night, that cum fest feels inevitable.

Unfortunately Brock is a liability at the moment. He has size and pace and is a good disposer of the ball if he has to kick long. I agree he should be persevered with as he has only played a few games but he has been in the system for quite a while and is too easily moved around. He is also quite tentative at times and very one sided. The problem with continuing to play him is that he seems to be losing confidence and maybe it’s time he was given a stint in the WAFL to work on his areas of weakness. Bazzo is doing OK and is a good reader of the play so maybe he gets a chance. The problem for both of them as key defenders is the weakness of the Beagles which makes it difficult to stop opponents kicking goals when the ball comes down there so often and so easily

To be fair to him, he also had some absolute elite efforts pushing back into defense, putting his body on the line, halving contests and keeping his head over the ball.

I'll agree his first quarter was infuriating with probably 4 of his 10 touches being smothered and another 4 of them being direct turnovers...

But he also lasered a bullet for Jobe to clunk and kick his first AFL goal. Gets points for that.

Definitely should not be captain though, that's Baker every day of the week.
The problem with Duggan is that he is very slow by AFL standards, so he has no breakaway speed, he’s forced to either hand off or slam it onto the boot because he doesn’t have the leg speed to get himself out of trouble. At his age his speed or lack of it will only diminish.
A great servant of the club, but his days are numbered.
