Most of the things to be said have been said.

I.e. Shanahan looks like he will be something.
McCarthy. How was he missed and what a bonus.
Baker - proving us all wrong week after week.

The one who seems to have slipped through is Maric. Another 'free hit' outside the real draft pickup who at times looked out of place, but in this game he seems to have found a role and position. Worked hard to create space and became the wing link man. Looked forward but was willing to go back or sideways to the best option. Disposal was also mostly good.
He could take this wing/link role on a permanent basis if he keeps this up.

Agree about Maric. Although I think he is probably of AFL standard I have to remember he’s not even 21 yet.

He looks good as a wing-outlet player where he’s not so one on one and can use his kicking skills.

I thought maric was pretty good v collingwood.

I rewatched the game and in the first half? it looked like we had duggan as the player defensive side of the stoppage we'd release the handball too, we'd be far better off with someone like Mccarthy, baker, bo allan in that spot, they're all far quicker off the mark and are less likely to just hack it

With Ryan and Hough playing in the midfield, Hewett and Hall just playing, and adding Baker, Graham and McCarthy into the mix we are definitely more versatile. We can try Hough in the middle or Maric further up the ground etc.

Last year's top clearance winners Yeo 131, Kelly 110, Reid 99 then BBW on 88 and Ginbey on 47.
This year we have Reid 52, Hewett 45, Graham 42, Baker 40, Kelly 33, Brockman 30, Hough is on 23, Ryan 18 etc.

We're 4 down a game overall but it's a much more even spread, and most of those totals are skewed by number of games played and time spent in the middle. Ryan and Brockman have played in bursts, Kelly moved mostly forward, Hough started back and had two clearances in the first 6 games etc.

I almost put on my Monster snapback cap and punched some dry wall when this happened, he didn't get a free kick despite getting a forearm in the back of the head 🤜

Only to be outdone with Ned Long getting spun 540 over a 5 second period without being pinged HTB then Duggan picking it up, getting clamped for an instant free kick against. Even had the commentary shook.
Hey hey hey. There's only one Kyle here and it's pantskyle
