Bittersweet win in that we see what the players are capable of; bergman, rat, george but at the end of the day its a wasted season as we are not playing finals. Thinking of it as a development year; we get gametime into Jackson/Visentini/Moraes/Sinn/Liddy and then get to experiment with positional moves Visentini as a fwd/Bergman/Rozee and increase confidence at AFL level that in those who really needed it in Ratugolea/Sinn/Richards/Jackson

Well that was way better than last week at least .
Butters was great , Bergman , Rozee , Ratogalea, , Georgiades,
If Visentini hadve kicked straight, he would’ve had 3 , possibly 4 goals, that was a good sign , Jackson was great early , he looks like a footballer, if he can get some continuity .
I’d keep playing Jackson , if he still has power to add to his body he’ll turn out pretty good because he’s a natural footballer.
Sinn is coming along nicely, could turn into a top liner .
Richards was quite good and I think the two rucks were quite good in this game .

You would usually take a 50 point win every time but as others have suggested last night had all the signs of just another typical kern home ground win over a virtually non existent opposition with that pathetic first half from the blue baggers being so bad they would have struggled to beat time on a drum.

There were definitely some good signs from a number of Port players, but from a team perspective they won't be allowed anything like that amount of freedom next week, and will have to go to another level or there has to be a risk of being on the wrong end of a similar smacking from brisvegas.

The continual cue in the rack stuff in the last qtr when the oppo is absolute toast and burning valuable percentage in the process is still painfully obvious, but if Josh Carr coaches anything like he played hopefully he will fix that!

I'll never say no to a 50 point win, but Carlton were woeful. Probably the 2nd worst team in the league right now behind West Coast. Played effectively 2 men down with a one legged Weitering and McGovern.

That said, great to see Jackson make the most of his opportunity. Our handball + i50 game is coming together a lot better than it was at the beginning of the year - next year with another preseason + new coach + Lukosius back is exciting.

Does this look familiar? Similar story different club.

One variation though, apparently there are some Blues supporters who want to 'Keep Voss'. I doubt we hava many who want to 'Keep Ken'.

Started watching replay this morning, who put Kenny back in his little box?? Also, I swear I saw Vossy guzzling a can of Pepsi at one stage.

Lukosius will come in for Visentini who will get suspended for 8 weeks.

We must make an example!

I thought boak played a really good role for us, he skills below his knees where good and apart from that one ass handball to jackson he used the ball well. He even converted a set shot. Good game from him hopefully he can keep playing like this.

Well we know how this will go down. He wears a Port guernsey so the intent was to kill. Not the same as when Byrne-Jones was concussed. No that was a Footy collision event and the offending player was obviously not guilty. This latest brutal act was from a Port thug using his height and weight to smash the poor victim senseless. Season over for him!

Geez it not even a hip and shoulder bump, more a front on block with the ball within 5 metres. Imagine if Visentini went in to take a mark or bump on Saad rather than standing his ground.

Commentary saying he might escape suspension???? WTF. That's lucky to even register on the low impact scale.

Carlton were crud.
We were not bad.
Typical lairizing after the second quarter.
Good win but it doesn't really tell us much.
Brisbane away next week should give us a better idea where we are and where certain players are.

They are going to have to keep showing that one camera angle over and over to try and get him suspended. Its not even a bump

If you drive into a stobie pole it's pretty hard to blame the stobie pole.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if they don’t try try though.

Players coming off second best after running into Dante is going to be a problem for him. I can see it.
