Eddie was never going to get rid of Bucks after a GF and PF finals appearance two years in a row, with two years left on his contract.

Longmuir is also a WA man and seems quite loyal to Freo. Think it's his dream job

I was responding to the idea that the spin merchant seemed to think we didn't let him slip. He and Hocking were clearly responsible for 2018, and if the Collingwood football club was actually run properly, instead of like a medieval fiefdom, they would have made Longmuir the offer needed to grab him. (Which he obviously could have rejected if Perth was his ultimate destination.)

You get rid of the ******* incumbent who clearly can't coach and offer Longmuir the $1million Buckley is getting instead of the $500,000 Freo are paying him.

Simple, really.

And you can stop with the horseshit that Collingwood improved in 2018/19 under Buckley.

It was clearly Longmuir and Hocking.

So where were your protests when we lost Longmuir - where was the angst, anger, rage, tumult.
Where was it - it didn’t exist.
Now in hindsight - you and the others are experts.

You guys are so transparent.

BTW - I thought Buckley was a control freak according to you blokes, that didn’t listen to anyone - so really by your own admission Longmuir had no influence.

You can’t have it both ways.

I’m easily pleased. I don’t need a new coach, just want to see a game where we have like 60 or 70 more kicks than handballs, instead of about even 👍

It might be simple. That, however, doesn't make it remotely realistic. Eddie was never going to get rid of Bucks after a GF and PF finals appearance two years in a row, with two years left on his contract.

Your correct 100%.

I wasn't happy with losing Longmuir at all, so you're wrong there.

Buckley was told he had to accept new ideas at the end of 2017 as part of his contract renewal. Pretty sure that has been said in the public domain numerous times.

Once the idiot President offered him a new contract, he became emboldened again and reverted back to his shitty ideas last season, which are in full bloom this season without both Longmuir andHocking.

All of the deficiencies in this side this year are exactly what they were before Longmuir and Hocking arrived. It's indefensible.

So Buckley listened in 2018 to Longmuir and others but didn’t in 2019.
Do you actually think anybody here would believe that?
You are now truly clutching at straws.

PS - just saw your post where a Demon supporter said Goodwin was the worst Coach in the AFL, and in response you said no, that title goes to Buckley.

I think we all now see your posts in their true light.

Which part of Buckley was forced to listen to new ideas are you missing?

Why is it so difficult for you to believe Buckley wouldn't immediately try things his way again? 2014-17 were years in which there was no obvious identity or brand beyond grunt, and he didn't change direction at all. He had input into list development, and no matter who the forward line coaches have been - and there have been three during his reign - the problems are the same then as now. And still nothing changed.

That suggests the team plays the way he wants them to play.

Buckley is clearly the worst coach in the AFL.

One of the top 3/4 football department spends, so no shortage of resources.
An adoring President who would do anything Buckley cooed to him when they are feeding grapes to each other.
A genuine handful of A-grade players - Pendlebury, Moore, Grundy, Sidebottom, DeGoey - and a strong supporting class in Stephenson, Elliott, Maynard, Treloar, Adams, and Howe. That's 11 -A grade or just under players. More than Richmond or Geelong.
The most dysfunctional forward line in the competition, with all of the same issues since 2014. That suggests he either has no idea what to do, or no idea on how to communicate what he wants them to do.
A midfield, despite some stellar names, that has zero connection with the ruckman, and even less with the forward line.

Nine years in charge and nothing to show for it. No coach in history has coached as long as he has without winning a Premiership.

It's over. Just accept it.

Lol. I'm certainly no big fan of Bucks, but to say he's "clearly the worst coach in the AFL" is legitimately deluded. Your bias is really showing - listing Elliott and Stephenson as "just under" A grade is nonsense.

Many would argue that Moore, Sidebottom and Jordy are not worthy of being A-graders. Grundy's form has slipped. Stepho is a D grader atm, Maynard though is pushing ahead of Moore, similarly is Howe. Adams has stepped up. But a lot of our team is rubbish.

Anyone arguing Moore and JDG aren't A-graders would be a fool

Sorry sport - I think your clear irrationality per your post on the Demon board needs no further debate.

That's not correct. There are 10-12 coaches who have coached more games without a flag.
