Hi Guys,

I was just wondering how difficult it would be to get tickets to the Showdown in Round 16 for Ports home game?

My folks are both Port fans and they haven't been to the new Adelaide Oval yet, they also don't live in South Australia. I was hoping to fly them in, put them up for a couple of nights and get them tickets to the game.

Am I best off just using the Virgin Australia Package deal thing? Seems a bit pricey...

Thanks

Very....maybe buy a general admission membership instead,

I will also be in Adelaide for the Collingwood, Crows and Saints home games with my kids. If I buy 3 game memberships for everyone, does that guarantee me entry, if I don't want a reserved seat, or do I still need to buy a reserved seat in 35 seconds on the interweb ?

I believe Crows members will get first bite at any daily tickets, so given you're planning a whole trip around it, a Virgin package might be the safer way to go.

If it's the same as last year, then only the Showdown will have no GA available. The others will be fine for 3-gamers as long as you rock up to the ground early enough.

Cheers. And do Port members get first crack at these, so if I am quick enough I have a good chance ? Is that the way it works ?

That's the way it worked last year, yes. There was a period where all 3-game and other GA type members were given the chance to upgrade to a reserved seat for the game, before what was left went to the Crows members and then the general public.

Talk to me around the time. I have a family package and I don't think that a few of the family will be around then. You can take the tickets but have to pay for the full price at the gate because they are kids tickets.

Okay, thanks for that. Will get in touch with you later in the year.

Just make sure you're not cheering for the Fruit Tingles :-)

Hey Guys, I ended up going down the package deal with Virgin. Needless to say my parents are absolutely pumped to see Port thump the Crows.
