Had 5, Traded Franklin for Goodes... Only need to do 2 upgrades in the fwd, 1 in the back and I should be right. It depends on how many trades you have left. Anything less than 3 or 4 i would keep him
Advice wanted!
B. Deledio, Suckling, Enright, Carrazzo, Dempsey, Yarran, Bugg (Bootsma, Boumann)
C. Ablett, Watson, Pendles, Priddis, Barlow, Gibbs
R, Natanui, Giles (Redden, Campbell)
F. Buddy, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Pavlich, Hale, Porps, Dickson (D.Martin, Elliot)
Plan to turn Porps into Goodes. My big problem is Bugg. With nothing on the bench and no additional money, who can I turn to?
2 trades would take me down to 4 left
Ok im pretty much shot for the season, but am open to any suggestions to try and make finals and do some damage against my mates and collect some prize money...
2 trades left, 113k in the kit. Im currently 11th and playing a bloke who is 14th and averages 1943 pts per round.
Backs - Deledio, Waters, H.Shaw, Carrazzo, Goddard, Smedts, S.Shaw, Darley and Bootsma
Mids - Ablett, Swan, Boyd, Rockliff, Mitchell, Watson. ( bench - S.Gibson and Crozier )
Rucks - Cox, Redden ( bench - Giles and Campbell )
Fwds - Franklin, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Chapman, Zorko, N. Reiwoldt, Porplyzia ( bench - Dustin Martin, Tomlinson )
I think its all or nothing time given my position on the ladder, i think i should keep Franklin, and i reckon i have to offload Waters for sure, but unsure who for
Any help is greatly appreciated

Franklin > Goodes will give you about 180k in your bank (and you have enough trades to be able to bring him back later if he comes back in classic Buddy form)EDIT - Have Dangerfield in the Fwd Pocket also
Ridiculous ideaIs it worth burning two out of my four remaining trades to get Giles out for Jacobs or the like? Or should I just hold tight until I'm facing a donut. Giles and Cornes are my only really weak spots (got plenty of plain old weak spots though).
Giles to Jacobs is an increase of 13 average points per week for 130KHave you even looked at anything except for average scores?Ridiculous ideaGiles to Jacobs is an increase of 13 average points per week for 130K
For 140K you could upgrade Cornes to Roughead and get more than a 20 point increase per week! Roughead will get a lot more of the ball now that Buddy is out too I reckon
Dunno about wilkes, but Jock Reynolds sees value in Newman:Does anyone see any value in Beau Wilks and Chris Newman
Chris Newman - Richmond
$384,400 – Avg 82 – breakeven 57
Finals opponents: BRL, FRE, ESS, PTA
Waiting faithfully for this old warhorse to kick into gear this season. Surely the time is now.. I can feel it in the depths of these old waters. Gold Coast this week and has a very nice finals run as well with Bulldogs, Freo, Essendon then Port. For those after that point of difference to snap away from their opponents
No love for Scotland in defense?bite the bullet, waters to Birchall, Franklin to ruffhead
Hell no. You have 4 weak forwards and you want waste a trade to get rid of a guy who has scores 125ish the last two weeks in a row for a guy just returning from injury? Is it worth trading Judd for Pendlebury?
Is it worth trading Judd for Pendlebury?
I'm two wins out of the top 8, yet have 3rd most points for in my league
Have 8 trades left and 305K
Edit: I traded Buddy for Goodes, so now only have one trade left for this round.
Was thinking of upgrading Ellis, Cameron or Saad

I'm not sold on Goodes as the Swans have a very tough run home and he's already had a big injury this season. On the other hand he is cheap and as a rule does seem to warm up this time of season. You do have the trades though to cover him if he gets injured. On your other trade I think Ellis should go - maybe for someone like Yarran - the Blues have a decent run home - he's uber cheap and he scores well when fit. Carrazzo will probably score better though from the same team. Saad will drop in price this week, but once he gets the low score out his salary he will rise again in price to around 300k - he will have to go eventually. You should look to get rid of Giles if you can - I got him out for Pavlich this week (via ruck/forward swap) - get in a premium ruck (Jacobs was my pick).
I would be curious to see if there is a past correlation between Franklin not playing and a higher Roughead score however that may be less relevant with Roughead in the ruck the past 2 seasons. Personally I would slightly lean toward Roughead. Do you have the cash for Nic Nat?
Goodes does have a hard run home yes, but the Swans are on top of the ladder, every team he plays against he should do well. Main reason I chose him was his value - it was too good to ignore. I wasn't sure about Ellis there, my forward line is my weakest area though, so a straight swap of Cameron to Dayne Beams is what I'm leaning towards, Beams surely has to thrive even more with Pendlebury back in the side. The thing with the defenders was that there just aren't that many good defenders scoring over 100 a week to trade in, I don't feel comfortable trading in someone who averages around 90.
And Giles isn't a dual position player I don't understand? Yeah Saad is pissing me off, he will definitely be gone soon, hopefully for a Chapman!
The only game Roughead played without Franklin in the team in 2011 he scored 133. The game where Franklin was off the ground for most time in 2012 Roughead scored 126. The five games he played without Franklin in the side in 2010 his scores were 79, 39, 125, 82, 91 (his average that year was 77.6). He also got his highest supercoach score of the year for 2007 in one of the two games he played that Franklin didn't.Nah, that's why I was speweing cos I can't afford Nic Nat, had approx $520K to spend, so it was out of Roughy or Jacobs, and didn't think much about Kreuzer and the like. Ended up going Roughy... just hopes it works out now cos I got **** all trades left.
Just out of curiosity, what's your team average and rank?Sorry, forgot to mention Pendles will drop in price - has a high BE this week so no need to get him in now, especially coming off a leg fracture, plus Judd is finding form. I have Beams and he's class, however will be competing against Swan, Pendles, Thomas, Sidey for points though - also he's due to drop $25k in price with a high BE this week so I wouldn't rush to get him in especially given they play the defending premiers this week. Of the defenders I don't think you can go too wrong with Carrazzo given he plays midfield - Yarran does score well off the half-back flank given he kicks goals and goes on numerous runs where he bounces the ball more than once which gives him extra SC points. Like the fact you have Birchall in your backline as I don't think you can go to wrong with having Hawks there given their game style and the fact they are one of the Premiership favourites - have Suckling myself for the same reasons.
As for my Giles swap - I traded Giles out, had Hale in my forward line, swapped him into the rucks (both Hale and Roughead have good runs home and will get extra points with Buddy out), and brought in Pavlich into the forward line, as you can do this year under the new SC trading rules. Upshot is I think you have to get rid of Giles - he will probably have decent games between now and the end of the year, but he won't score like someone like Jacobs who has a stellar run home in a winning team and is basically the Crows only ruckman.
I would of thought that was a bit of a stretch at the moment, since he hasn't played a game. Must be a reason he has been borderline 22 all year and not getting a gig.Surely couch will have decent JS till seasons end? Thoughts...
