Having played three games against middling opponents since our bye, with differing results, the AFC will be glad to match up on a easybeat given our headaches in the forward line.

Facing the prospect of having all or most of Taylor Walker, Kurt Tippett, Shaun McKernan, Ian Callinan and Jared Petrenko from our best 22, it is left to the 'Fringe Forwards' to make their mark.

Tom Lynch, Tim McIntyre, Lewis Johnston, Ricky Henderson will all press their claim to join or remain in the Crows 22. Tom Lynch has starred for Glenelg for much of the SANFL season and probably holds the dubious honour of the best player not in our 22. McIntyre repped the #49 in style for his debut AFL game and will be keen to join Matty Wright as a permanent small forward in the side. Lewis Johnston has been a consistent SANFL goalkicker, though his chances of a Crows debut diminish given the two consecutive Rooster byes, and a subsequent lack of match fitness. Having just booted 6.2 from nowhere, the consistent inclusion of Henderson after some time in the wilderness should be a strong possibility.

Despite calls by some posters for Knights' and Doughty's dropping after less than brilliant performances in tonight's spectacle, it is unlikely they will be dropped given the number of forced changes that will need to be made (including restings). It would not be surprising to see Sam '61' Jacobs given a rest for this week, however the logistics are made difficult given McKernan's and Tippett's injuries, as well as Jenkins' and Dowdell's inexperience. A red vest is a possibility.

In terms of our opposition, it is time to once again face some club foes.

Probably the only stage in his career where we didn't all hate him.

"So long, g boys!" Or at least that's what we thought...

Well at least the guy had good intentions. Surely we can believe this man of enormous integrity? Right?

In all seriousness, while it is only GWS they have pulled some decent performances out of their hats (the recent Richmond and GC games spring to mind). And given it is an away game on a completely foreign playing field, and our recent injury woes, victory is no certainty.

But to be top four we can no longer drop games to minnows, and a loss would probably have many of us burning the Westpac Centre down (just like everytime we didn't appeal a Walker suspension).

These are the team list for Round 15, with those likely to be injured highlighted.

GWS Giants:
B: Adam Kennedy, Tim Mohr, Shaun Edwards
HB: Curtly Hampton, Phil Davis, Tomas Bugg
C: Rhys Palmer, Callan Ward, Adam Treloar
HF: Toby Greene, Jeremy Cameron, Adam Tomlinson
F: Nathan Wilson, Jonathon Patton, Chad Cornes
Foll: Jonathan Giles, James McDonald, Taylor Adams
I/C: Andrew Phillips, Stephen Coniglio, Nick Haynes, Devon Smith
Emg: Sam Darley, Tom Scully, Dean Brogan
Adelaide Crows:
B: Daniel Talia, Ben Rutten, Michael Doughty
HB: Brodie Smith, Sam Shaw, Brent Reilly
C: David Mackay, Patrick Dangerfield, Bernie Vince
HF: Richard Douglas, Shaun McKernan, Rory Sloane
F: Jason Porplyzia, Kurt Tippett, Matthew Wright
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Scott Thompson, Nathan van Berlo
I/C: Chris Knights, Brodie Martin, Ricky Henderson, Tim McIntyre
Emg: Richard Tambling, Tom Lynch, Luke Brown

Please discuss.

Jenkins in, regardless of form (Sauce needs someone to relive him after that Herculean performance). Anyone else that deserves a shot (e.g. Lynch) should also be in serious consideration. Time to win big and boost our %

Lynch, or Lunch as my iPhone is intent on calling him, will come in and tear new poop shutes for the GWS boys next week...

I should think we'd win, margin unknown.
Both McKernan and Tippett out, injury.
Tough to see the replacements... I'd like to see Johnston and Lynch, but expect we'd see Jenkins and Lynch. Jenkins can assist in the ruck, not sure if Johnston can. Maybe it'll end up being Jenkins & Johnston... not likely. Someone else mentioned it, Brown to come in for a run and rest Doughty. I think it's a game where we can tinker around a little with our squad. How many of our outs can come back in this week?

Any packages for supporters thinking of travelling to this game?

In: Pets, Jenkins, Lynch
Out: Smack, Tippett, McIntyre

Give Callinan another weeks rest
Give Knights one last chance otherwise he is out for Callinan

Can't rest Jacobs unfortunately

And I would love to give Doughty a rest and give Brown a go. If we are serious about resting players Doughty is the oldest

New nickname?

Are Petrenko and Callinan likely to be back next week? Must have a relieving ruckman to back up Sauce, so Jenkins returns for mine. Lynch to get a game if the two forenamed are not fit. Hendo to remain at FF.

As bad as GWS and GC have been playing, they would belt the living suitcase out of Norwood and Centrals. So lets not put an SANFL team in by suggesting we rest player as they have good SANFL form.

SANFL form and AFL form isn't even comparable.

We can not take this game lightly or we will get a wake up call.

Tippet and SMACK out

Jenkin and Lynch in

Wow, didn't you post in the other thread Knights should be in based on his SANFL form?

Knights stays in for another chance.

Yes, but it's his last surely. Three games in a row (not counting the sub) is a decent chance to show what he's got. So far he's had one okay game in which a couple of goals earned him a pass, and one largely ineffectual one. Must show more next game.

Those who say he's returning from injury and needs time to get back to his best...he can have it, but not in the seniors if he can't produce results. Let him rediscover his mojo in the SANFL (if he can) then come in. Too many better performing alternatives for him to have a spot sewn up just on the promise of reprising 2009. I'll believe it when I see it.

Easy ones this week.

Jenkins and Lynch for McKernan and Tippett (better to be safe then sorry).

I dont really think we need to rest players only had the bye a few weeks ago.
The only one id think of resting is jacobs, but unless we promote Dowdell we can not.

Aside from that even if they perform well on the track i think we still give Callinan and Petrenko an extra week off as it is the GWS.

Maybe Johncock for McIntyre at a stretch but that is all.

And look at his output in his 2 games?

His SANFL form was good and It's not even comparable to a good AFL player. I will say it again just for you, HE NEEDS TIME TO FIND HIS FEET in the AFL.

Just on Petrenko, he MUST play against West Coast. We need to make Hurn accountable (he killed us at AAMI last year), and Pets showed that he was capable of negating him in the NAB Cup Final. If resting him this week will help him perform the week after then it's a good move. Same deal with Tippett, of course.

YOU JUST ARGUED AGAINST PICKING PLAYERS BASED ON THEIR SANFL FORM FOR THIS GAME. MAKE UP YOUR MIND BECAUSE AT THE MOMENT YOU SEEM TO BE TRYING TO MAKE TWO POINTS THAT CONTRADICT EACH OTHER

The biggest concern I have is our complacency. Already everyone has assumed we will win. But the challenge is for us to win BIG. We need percentage and given that making the top four may be determined by percentage we need to have a strong team on the park. Given we may have already lost Petrenko, Callinan, Tippett, McKernan and Walker and given that McIntyre will need to be carried for a few more games we are not in a position to start resting some other key players. Lets not get too smug about our performance.

One of my biggest concerns is that we will get beaten by a Melbourne or a Brisbane or even a GWS or the Suns.

Our goal for this week should not be to win but to win by a percentage boosting margin.
