What's worth pointing out is all the young kids (bar Gross really) we're so keen to play, are actually getting a look at it.
Bo Allan and Clay Hall won't be dropped this week. Hewett is putting in a body of work. McCarthy is a lock forever basically.. whilst Shanahan looks like he'll get a decent run of games as well.
Makes watching Eagles games a lot more interesting at the moment.

Im hoping to see Cripps out for Gross and Bazzo to somehow slip into the team.
In saying that I think Cripps will have a ripper this week to make up for such a shit game so no changes wouldnt be terrible, but less preffered.
Is it just me or does someone need to coach Mini on how to use the sub correctly.

Listening to Mini's interview today with Ryan Daniels, it doesn't sound like Shanahan will be dropped.

Gross for Cripps would be silly IMO.
Looked very lost last time we dumped him onto the HFF. Would prefer we backed Cripps in than forcing Gross into that role, not that I think Cripps is in any danger.
Gross for Hunt I can get behind. Gross for Hutchinson, sure.
Wouldn't be surprised if there's no changes.

This feels weird based on how terrible he's been for so much of the year but Kelly needs to stay.
Hunt or Cripps are the only 2 I could see going out. Dewar another 2 weeks off, only one I'd bring straight in. Owies wasnt good before the injury was heading to the WAFL anyway I think. Cole was good but Allan was reasonable on the weekend. Hope we go in unchanged or swap Gross and Hunt then the Beagles have a more competitive team this week.

Shanahan wont be going anywhere, Archer is the only possible replacement for that KPF role and I cant see that happening this week anyway.
Cripps probably isnt out yet, but another average game and Owies probably swaps him out - trying to be realistic rather than naming some kid.

Wouldnt be opposed to swapping Brock for Bazzo, but Brock would be a bit stiff to be dropped imo. I think Brock, Edwards and Ginbey are forming a decent trio back there anyway.
Kelly to stay, he played fine and hes not our biggest issue. Only Owies or Long pushing him for a spot anyway, no thanks.

We dont have to reward every single good game the kids have, let him get a run of good games in again and then re-assess where we can fit him in. If that means he plays WAFL for the rest of the year then so be it

Everyone knows the WAFL thread has been the most enjoyable place for shitposting and watching the younger players get full games and develop this year.
Now they've all migrated into the seniors, it's actually fun watching the AFL team again.

Owies to make WAFL return, won’t face Giants
West Coast forward Matt Owies has revealed he won’t face GWS on Friday night, with the Eagles taking a cautious approach to his return from injury.
