That game felt like a summation of our year. Well below our best and just having to grind out wins.

A bit of a disheartening game.

We had two quarters with 10 or less tackles. We let them rebound through with minimal pressure through the middle. We conceded +11 inside 50s. It felt like we were reliant on individual moments of brilliance and the St. Kilda inaccuracy. I thought we were past these efforts that won’t cut it against better teams.

Not all bleak. I thought our defensive performances were largely fantastic. TB and Battle were immense. Newcombe worked through the tag to demonstrate his marking. Our marks inside 50 remains a strength that will only get better with our inclusions.

Typical Saints game. Take the points and move on.

Stkilda brought sustained pressure, something we have been very questionable dealing with this year.

We definitely have a few things to fix, but it was still a good win

Got the 4pts. But I sincerely hope we lift the next couple of weeks. The way we let them run around with little pressure in the 2nd half was atrocious.

Needed to avoid a Ross Lyon banana peel, and did. And never really looked like losing.

Meek, Battle, Barass, Impey were great. Happy how the backline and forward line are going. Midfield not so much and we are getting away with it against the weaker sides. But will need more than Meek and Newk against good sides

Our midfield minus Meek and a tagged Newk were beyond pathetic. Had Meek destroy Marshall and they couldn't get close.

14 touches apiece for Mackenzie, Worpel, Ward... Meanwhile NWM had as many as them combined. Edit: had more than them combined.

Meek was huge.

We show up like that next week we will get hammered in Perth. Tonight showed if your not ready for what the opposition dish up you can end up in a game you could have almost lost. Blind Freddy could have expected Ross to go in with the gameplan he did and we had a bit of a mare in the coaches box not mitigating anything that happened out there. It was talent not effort that won us the game.

Saints taught us a lesson in the second half in the contest. It's fortunate that they suck at everything else. Can't believe the way we let NAS do what he wanted. I truly don't understand our coaching moves sometimes... Ramma playing well, replaced by Seamus whose role seemed obvious, only for Seamus to not play that role.
