It is ridiculous that we play the Saints twice this year and both times it's at their home ground. Are you campaigners going to complain about Etihad again this week?

It is a better return then playing an interstate side there, which after years of whining about playing interstate sides in the last rounds of the season we actually played a vic team their early in the season. It is ridiculous that we play the Saints twice this year and both times it's at their home ground.

Yep exactly. In fact we came much closer to beating them at Etihad.Pretty sure they beat us at the G' last year or the year before? Let's stop complaining about Etihad - it's still in Victoria.
From a financial perspective, it was better. For actually winning games of football I can't agree. It is a better return then playing an interstate side there, which after years of whining about playing interstate sides in the last rounds of the season we actually played a vic team their early in the season.
That is our own doing, not the groundFrom a financial perspective, it was better. For actually winning games of football I can't agree.
What? You're always less likely to win when playing at the opposition team's home ground. That is our own doing, not the ground

Yes, even if you're good. Teams play better and are more likely to win at their home grounds, this is true for sport all over the world. Not if your any good, we were just ******* s**t and now we are just about average

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Teams will play better at a ground where they play more often and feel more comfortable, regardless of travel (although that and crowd support exacerbate it). There is **** all difference between playing at etihad and the MCG
Sport around the world is different
Playing at Old Trafford there 80000 fans all supporting one team and they don't let up for the whole game
Etihad and the MCG are both in melbourne and their will be plenty of Dees fans there
Only s**t teams use it as an excuse

We are simply more likely to win if the game is played at the MCG. And having to play a side twice at their home ground in the same season is something that's fair game to be complained about, that's all.We lost to them at the MCG aswell, if we play well we win if we don't we lose .. stkilda doesn't get a 5 goal bonus at the start because there's a roof on the stadium

They don't train there. If we were using MFC logic to other teams Carlton and Essendon should be cracking the shits playing at home to us at the MCGYes, even if you're good. Teams play better and are more likely to win at their home grounds, this is true for sport all over the world.
Carlton play more games at the G than Etihad. From a purely football perspective, Essendon would no doubt prefer to play us at Etihad (I suppose an argument in favour of the G would be that finals are played there so any experience there is useful). But financially playing us at the G is a lot better for them. They don't train there. If we were using MFC logic to other teams Carlton and Essendon should be cracking the shits playing at home to us at the MCG
Why is it pointless? The AFL's seriously unfair fixturing has improved marginally over the last few years and it's because fans and some journos have continued to complain about it.
So when the Hawks come out and complain about the concessions the NSW clubs get, they're just showing their "loser's mentality"?
Complaining all the time is stupid, but it's equally stupid to just shut up and never utter a peep about things that are objectively unfair.
Callum Mills looked like he was on the field to me last week.We are talking on field not off field
