GWS are not flying Treloar, Coniglio & Shaw over. They're 3 pretty critical players for them.

Jeepers. I sense a massive percentage booster.

I don't think we'll be resting anyone with the bye coming up in a fortnight. Too disruptive. Might just see us enter cruise control a bit more in the final quarter again.

Not saying that these selections would happen but here are some examples of like for likes that would only marginally weaken us if at all, but doing them provides rest for players with niggles and experience for the fringies:
Griffin: Sandilands, Clarke
De Boer: Mayne, Sylvia
Silvagni: Dawson, McPharlin
Etc

We get a distinct advantage doing this with minor downside.

We can also benefit by playing Sylvia or Morabito more on ball in Mundy's role and bring in someone like de Boer or Grey.

I am expecting some judicious use of our depth.

I really don't get the resistance. Good teams rest players all the time because they can. The benefits are so common sense that I'm not sure they need printing.

old man macca. Maybe a injury, maybe maintenance. Strange, didn't play with any discomfort but the travel plus playing on a suburban ground may have contributed. I would expect he will sit out this one and the next (away game) plus the bye and back ready for final 4 games

Hasn't Pearce just played the one WAFL game back from injury? Would be exciting to get a look at him, but he'd have to be one of the guys who will miss. Tabs in defence again... hmmmm...

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ELVIS?? Only one game back and now out with a different injury... And Ibbo hitting some really good form - when did this happen? And both would have to be legit, you'd think, having both missed a lot of games already this year, so they're certainly not being 'rested'.

I had a look through training reports...was there any warning with McPharlin during the week? He wasn't mentioned as missing at training on the Freo website. I am hoping the club is taking an ultra conservative approach to him.

I wonder with Ibbotson and McPharlin if these are injuries they play through during the game or they occur in recovery. Watching the game I wouldn't have thought there were any issues with those two.
