I feel as though I need to strengthen my Defence, but not sure which way to go about it.. 5 Trades left and $137k in the kitty..

I can just go Smith > Houli and be done with it...

Or I can downgrade elsewhere.. Maybe McKernon > Knight in the FWD's (but then I will lose my ruck cover) which will then allow me to go Smith > Hodge?

Or any other changes I should look at making?? Cheers guys

I wouldnt touch Houli his last few weeks hes been crap.
Maybe Amon down to a cheapie and Hamling to someone around 450k.

Hold Buddy & play Smith for now I reckon.
When time is right in a few weeks downgrade Boston to a suitable rookie on bubble and upgrade Smith > premo of choice IE. Hodge.

Agreed. I'm more than happy to have Oxley as my final D6, it's the lack of defensive cover atm that worries me.

Now there's an option I hadn't noticed. Missed him because he's so cheap. Very tempting, but we still don't know if he can perform consistently in his GC role.

I was contemplating Smith > Eski as could afford without needing cash generation.

Deciding to hold until I see him back to his best as only have 3 trades left anyway, I'd rather grab the right player at a higher cost then go for a bargain.

If you're in a position to do that then that's OK.

For me, I'd rather just nail my starters and upgrade Smith to proven performer this year when time is right.

Really have NFI what to do. Saad is out. Cripps is bleeding cash and now Krak has done a hammy. 4 trades and 40k

Plan was to go:
Krak > 102k Stk FWD/MID as a loophole option
Cripps > Gaz

which would leave me with 2 trades, 15k and Lever at D6 whilst Saad is out (would probably go Saad > Kelly the week after and be left with 1 trade and 60k)

BUT I'm now thinking of maybe Passing on Gaz as it will cost me too much, if that were the case I'd go:
Saad > J.Kelly
Cripps > Cotchin/Heppell/Parker (or anyone <551k)

Which we leave me with 2 trades, not much cash but a full team.

Only way I can get ablett in this week is to trade saad (also downgrade lonie). This worth it? And then bring in someone else to finish defense. 7 trades left 281k in the bank before trades

As you can see i have 7 trades and 170k. I can get GAJ if i downgrade a rookie and trade Cripps to him.

OR i thought i could go Cripps > Yeo (swap to DEF), play Steele mid in the meantime and maybe downgrade another rookie to get GAJ next week.

I have to win this week, opponent does not have GAJ.

I have the option to bring in Ablett for Krakoure, which would give me a gun mid on the bench.

That way I can put Lewis on bench with the E and if he has a shocker leave him there, or if he has a big game bring him on for Neal-Bullen.

Is it worth having an extra gun on the bench this time of year, incase of injury or you get lucky with someone have a dud game?

Or should I upgrade one of Swallow A. or Barlow to Ablett and have heaps more cash in the back to upgrade Ibbotson and Oxley down back?
