Sis suspended, Stratts injured... Has the door opened slightly for a Burton debut? Howe and Gus most likely but that could leave us a bit short in the forward half... I reckon he's a chance if he pulled up well??

Ryan Burton is a freak - he's been a class above all day. Hes played deep and high half forward and up on the wing at times. His tank is exceptional considering how long he's been out. He kicked 3.4 to 3QT although inaccurate his decision making and ground kicking is sublime... He could get a gig at HFC this year with Sis looking like he needs a spell. He's easily the best young kid we've had since 04.

Your post made me happy.

But on the best young kid since 04...there was a little fella drafted in 07 called Cyril!

The Scum will probably only drop one game so we need to win our three remaining games. They will probably also have to have a big loss to Willy because they have two potential percentage boosting games.

Scum play Willy [48 points] @ home; North Ballarat [8] away; Northern Blues [24] @ home.
BHH play Sandy [40] away; Collingwood [48] @ home; Casey [48] away.
Richmond play Geelong [36] @ home; Sandy [40] away; Coburg [20] @ home.
Werribee play Casey [48] away; Footscray [40] @ home; Sandy [40] @ home.

On a much brighter note the development top four reads:
1 Box Hill Hawks 14 11 3 0 3 1546 794 194.71 44
2 Casey Scorpions 13 8 5 0 4 1126 857 131.39 32
3 Williamstown 14 8 6 0 3 1062 1084 97.97 32
4 Coburg 14 8 6 0 3 921 982 93.79 32

I really enjoyed watching Sam Switkowski play in the development team because he always has a red hot go. With sheer determination Sam was instrumental in getting us back into the game in last year's GF which we lost with a golden score. It has been terrific to see Sam rewarded with senior selection and great to see him playing so well. It's a shame his courage and work rate hasn't inspired some of his team mates to lift their intensity because if they had we would not be sitting in 9th position on the ladder. If the vfl schedule wasnt so $&@d id be much more confident- will have to pull out at least 1 player every week to be emergency for seniors

Any word on Teia Miles?
TEIA MILES – 16 disposals

“Teia was playing a really good game up until half time, he unfortunately broke his collarbone at the start of the third quarter going back with the flight of the ball and had surgery on that today which is disappointing for him as he will miss the rest of the season. It’s a real blow for him as he’s had an outstanding season and has been one of our most consistent players. He should be pleased with the year he’s put in.” CN

Hopefully Frawley, Shiels and Puopolo will be available to cover the losses of Miles, Stratton and Sicily plus Shoenmakers and/or Spangher may return to add to our depth for our must win game against Sandringham.

Any word on Teia Miles?

Rooted, season over.

Broken clavicle.

End of sausage.

When I saw it it looked very bad; I thought that it was possibly an A/C separation which would be far worse. For what the did and the way he did it, the broken clav is a good result and it should easily heal in time for the pre-season.
