The Hawks return to one of the VFL grounds of yore when they take on North Melbourne at Arden Street in what shapes to be a "do or die" match in terms of the Hawks' chances of successfully defending their VFL premiership. With Richmond spoiling the party for David Mirra's 150th VFL game, and then the Hawks having the bye last weekend, the Hawks currently sit outside the top eight in ninth position, half a game behind Werribee and Geelong.
North Melbourne, on the other hand, have no chance of playing finals and went down to the Northern Blues by 75 points last Saturday (21.10.136 to 8.13.61), so the Hawks could see this as an opportunity to bounce back onto the winners' list.
