The Eagles turned in an inspired performance against St Kilda to keep their top four hopes alive. HoneyBadger35 and MrKK unpack the big win, talk home finals, injury updates, preferred finals opponents and completely dismiss North Melbourne as an organisation.

Some weird (weirder than usual) audio in the early stages of this one - show the same resolve the Eagles did last week and persist, because your reward is the most disinterested and arrogant game preview you will ever hear.
Just the excuse you need to fire this episode into the sun if we happen to lose.

Gents - have loved your work this year. Few supporting acts with HoneyBadger35 and MrKK doing the heavy lifting.

Loved the disdain for those tin rattlers from Arden St.

Can they afford wifi?
Do they own computers?
Has NBN come to Arden St?
Will they need another handout from the AFL to subscribe to Spotify?

James Brayshaw should have been a better leader for Norf when as Chairman, he fought the Gold Coast offer. It was the perfect move for them but they chose heart over head. The AFL could have given them 9 home matches in QLD, 2 home matches in Melbourne and rigged the draw so that they got 8 away games in Melbourne and 3 away. Total games in Melbourne would have been 10. Debt free, push for more draft picks, go for a bigger salary cap. Hell, they might have even picked up 2 flags along the way.

It is Tasmania they need to go. What else?
The actions of Essendon 100 years ago to keep them out of the VFL will never let them merge.
The idea that they merge with Doggies doesn't work. 2 Paupers does not a rich club maketh.
The idea that it be Carlton to make the Carlton Roos was an option in he 90's but not likely.
Melbourne and Norf are polar opposites - one club with the rich supporters and no spine and the other with too much spine and no money.
Richmond and Collingwood would not bother. Hawks and Cats would think it a wasted distraction.
That leaves St Blunders and one has no common sense and too many restarts while the other has too many cents and not enough dollars.

If all you're bringing to the AFL is the lowest crowd and membership numbers and you're based in the most saturated market, you're not bringing anything at all.

Arguably the next team to drop out/merge.
At least they have a name suitable for mergers, Kangaroos - the Tassie Roos, The Darwin Roos, The Alice Springs Roos? Begging for a coach named Paul Roos?
Ok, hope they don't cause an upset!?

The sadness the consumes me at the lack of a bye-week podcast is immeasurable.

Blame the North Melbourne Football Club for being so undesirable to talk about. With the AA news coming late in the week and a proper finals pod coming up this week, there just wasn’t enough to unpack from that North game.

Nice to know we have a listener though
