PORT Adelaide has gone through the entire season on top of the ladder and claimed the fourth minor premiership of its 24-year AFL history after downing Collingwood 9.7 (61) to 7.3 (45) at the Gabba on Monday night.

Big-game specialist Robbie Gray failed to hit the scoreboard, but got plenty of the ball and was the constant in Port's forward thrusts through a dominant third quarter.

Fellow veterans Travis Boak and Tom Rockliff were also influential, however, it was the pressure applied across the ground by the full Power line-up that secured the win.

Say you want about Rockcliffs short kicking but it saved our butts so many times tonight just to find a target let them mark and slow down the momentum. He played so smart aswell. Did a k cornes and negated pendlebury through winning the ball and tackling him immidiently when he had possesion.

Ground out a tough win. It wasn’t pretty. Both teams were very defensive and tight and contested. Neither team got a lot of clean ball outside or took marks inside 50

Backline was awesome tonight. Smashed them. Full team performance from the defenders.

Bad

We took what? 2 marks inside 50 and one was a unexpected chaos ball out the back to duursma.

Our gameplan of pushing numbers up the ground makes it very congested. If we’re gonna do that we need our players to do better than bomb the ball to the opponent all night.

For all the flak Marshall copped for his poor first half I thought all our forwards were poor (I’m counting ebo as a midfielder across half forward / in the middle where all his touches were.

All Dixon’s best work wasn’t as a kf inside 50.

Butters back will help cause he thrives on chaos but we need to get better at giving our forwards a chance.

Motlop kicked 2 very good goals

Bonner and lienert were very good bar each had one bad moment

Woodcock didn’t get much result on paper but worked hard.

Apologies for the intrusion but just wanted to say congratulations on the minor premiership. Very well deserved, and an amazing effort to hold down the top of the ladder every round of the season. To be honest i didnt think hinkley had it in him but by golly he proved me wrong! Fingers crossed well be seeing you in the grand final!
