Not invoking the end result of 2011, but look at some of the losses in 2010.

Negative: JHF is unconcussed and has no broken bones in his face.

Not much else to say except poor ****ing Andrew Mcqualter.

I think it’s fair to say we should’ve won the Essendon, Richmond and North game. Others ran out of legs.

Still being 4-13 would feel a lot better. It’s coming but the losses still mounting.

Yes.

It will be harder to send a tagger and four senior mids to him every time he has the ball when there’s others who can have hurt factor alongside him.

Gross should’ve played instead of BWilliams. Flynn is just a walking L for us. He’s just a plan and simply liability. Getting belted by Gawn, Xerri and others I get. But Jordan Sweet… Wow, bloody wee. We need better players all-round to lift the floor instead of the ceiling. Too many, too often floating in and out of games. Should’ve kept Malakai in the game and subbed Billiams.

Flynn is an absolute spud, yet still not our bottom 6-8 week to week.

He should be getting better and he’s not. You’d hope it starts to get better and he gets smarter with it but no guarantees.

Still going to be a superstar and ready to explode. The 25+ touches a game is becoming the norm in his 2nd year with a tag and no much help. Year 3 could be huge for him, just hope he’s with us next year….

+ took the advantage in the 1st where port were absolutely trash. Good teams make hay when the sun shines.

- Port fixed their disposal and turnovers in the second and took the clear ascendency. Blew apart in the final.

If we had had got 2 quickly in the second, who knows, we could have mentally broken port, not to be. QTR time came at a bad time for us

He just needs a fit Yeo and it'll all be far easier for him.

At present, he's taking the role of the senior #1 midfielder in his second season, which is pretty insane when you think about it.

If not Yeo, then at the very least a fit Hewett, another year into Hall and Hough actually doing a preseason as a midfielder should spread the load massively.

Baker very good as usual
Shanahan did some good things
Couple of great team plays.
H Edwards very good in first half esp.


Negatives
Watching Butters get looked after by the umps everytime he went near it. Harley needs to model his game on Butters. Ask Butters what day he sends the umps a box of chocolates etc. Butters is the umps golden boy behind only Daicos.
Midfield crushed again. Hough, Hewett especially. Cant win a clearance if their life depended on it.
Harley tried but did some dumb shit as usual, just begging the umps to give a free against him, which they always happily oblige.
Hutch tries his ass off but Im starting to see his ceiling isnt all that high and his disposal and skills are a liability.
Hall has his moments. Reads the ball well, looks classy at times but all too often looks far too slow and his opponent jogs out of the middle with him no chance to catch up.
Dewar is great with the ball in hand but a liability when chasing or manning up and he's a goal waiting to happen when hes dragged to our backline.
I dont remember B Williams rucking. Perhaps he had a few. But dont see the point in him being in the team if not rucking more. Did a couple of things early but would rather a small forward rather than him.

I still like the overall makup of our team but they are all 30 or 40 games away from being decent players. Including Duggan
Moot point but what a difference the team would be with Waterman for B williams and Yeo and Ryan in there.

Couple of talented draftees this year and maybe 2 decent experienced trades in and we should be harder to beat next year.

He was good today but for sure felt his antics became a distraction for the entire team when the game was on the line, and Port knew it. Pretty sure I saw Flynn telling him as much toward the end there and I'd expect Mini will have a chat to him during the week. Was far from the thing that cost us the game but wasn't really what we needed in the moment either.

The selection situation around Gross was unacceptable. We complain about our mids but develop one of our best prospects like this. Even if we'd subbed him in during the last quarter to give us some legs ffs.

Love McCarthy’s ball use. It has made a massive difference to our ball movement. On the flip side - the player he is matched up on seems to win the ball and be on the end of scores a lot.

Big time. He was awesome. But I don't see how that correlates to a drive by on Simmo when Harry was third banana behind two AA calibre key backs, neither of whom are currently out there.

• Great start from so many players (but faded badly): Brockman, Hall, Dewar.
• Baker immense. Wanna boof 'im.
• Harley immense all game. Don't get why people get all hot under the collar about his combative nature. It's great to see a passionate player on our side. And the Harley tax is real.
• HEdwards delivering. Has come on like crazy since coming back into the side.
• Jobe looking the goods.

• The end to the game was so obviously coming but it still sucked.
• Got absolutely nothing from too many seniors tonight; Owies, Cripps, BWilliams & Flynn in particular.
• Hough and Hewett quiet. We need those guys on to win games.
• Hutch's fumbles.
• Ginbey as a KPF doesn't work for me, losing too many positives from his game. Brock would've been better on Georgiades tonight IMO.

Tired of losing, no matter how good we looked tonight.
