If we had no JHF Butters and Georgiades we would legitimately be at 2011-2012 levels
Richards is a breath of fresh air as a small that exceeds in the wet similar to butters which we havent had since r gray. Similarly with Wines just wins the in and under bull like ground balls which the eagles severly lacked
People were giving shit to Moraes for his lack of impact as sub when he had one kick/one goal when all the hype for lorenz netted him 1 handball and 1 tackle in 21% game time. Literally forgot he was our sub
Lord justifying my pregame post that he is utterly useless. Let his man come off him and come third in against georgiades/luko. When he was actually in a decent position would continually spoil his own man (saw it happen to sweet maybe 3-4 times)
Thought Liddy was okay. Some good ball use
Pre season pretty much anyone with footy IQ knew that Luko is a lead and mark type player N Riewoldt style yet we bomb it to his head when hes not built for that. Didnt help that Lords defender always came in to help
I’m not sure I agree with getting rid of Lord yet, but I acknowledge he has done a whole lot of nothing. I think it’s still in the clubs interest to give him the rest of the season.I agree with your comments about Richards, Liddy, Wines and Lord.
Ollie Lord should be shown the door as he simply is not and is unlikely to ever be an AFL footballer as he lacks basic skills and looks out of his depth at this level. He simply does not impose himself on the game enough.
Richards third quarter was exceptional and he has pace to burn and good skills to go with it. He was one of the few positives in an otherwise lacklustre performance.
Liddy and Jackson are both worth persevering with.
The way we deliver the ball to Lukosius is typical Hinkley but Jack went missing in the first half and he must do better. At one stage I posted that Ken should give him a run in defence to see if that would get him into the game and bolster our defence but that would be too radical for Ken to contemplate.
Ollie Lord just doesn't look like an AFL key forward, I know he had one good final vs the Lions but I can never see him having a 40 goal AFL or SANFL season. Why would we play a 200cm forward if he cannot even compete?I agree with your comments about Richards, Liddy, Wines and Lord.

YAAAAAYYYYY ... we beat the wooden spooners.
We're on track.

Dogshit. Embarassed ourselves. 16 other sides would have beaten us in 2nd gear. Glad we have Hinkley the Anthony Alesiani Last Dance though.
Especially when they didn’t even need to be shooshed, atmosphere and noise was non-existent.Telling that the biggest cheer for the year was the meme celebration for Boak finally kicking a go ahead/crucial goal after about 30 attempts over the years.
Against the wooden spooners
Harley Reid is verrrrrrrrry unlikeable too. What a f-head. Feel like our lippiness was in response to his floggish behaviour. Pretty sure he shushed the crowd which doomed the Weagles from that point.
Fun Fact: This mob lost more games by 100+ points in 2023 (5) than Port has lost in 29 years in the comp (4).
Mate. Stability’s the key.
You think Collingwood went from 17th to a flag inside two seasons by sacking their coach, President, List Manager, and shipping their two highest-paid players for cents on the dollar?!
It’s criminal to have him out there like that and anymore damage done to him should be somebody’s job.

JHF utterly schooled him.
I think Mitch is presenting as well as anybody since Schulz. Something is going right at least down there.
Full preseason and fresh coaching perspective next year hopefully helps.I’m not sure I agree with getting rid of Lord yet, but I acknowledge he has done a whole lot of nothing. I think it’s still in the clubs interest to give him the rest of the season.

he should've done the old 2 straws in the mouth walrus look... classicWas anticipating Ken to do a scampish little lolly teeth joke like last week
That really brought the house down.
That Ken is just such a wild and crazy guy
Sadly, he didn't do it
Ah well, another half dozen games to pull another funster style trick from his box of hilarity.
A big reason for the inefficiency is game plan related. Port usually re-enter a F50 with about 16 opposition players in it.We still get far too little return for so many inside 50s. I dream of a team that is efficient.
Our defensive system looks lost so what we should do is add in a guy who has been training at it for the last month.I would consider Ramm to play even if he is too raw because the defensive six just looks lost.
Triple M Adelaide with the real hold my beer version of this in deciding to add Tex Walker to the commentary team.Watched the game muted after learning that it was Brereton and Ricciutto on commentary.
They showed Aliir getting treatment on the bench at the end of the first. The way he was reacting then, I thought we were going to be down to just BZT as a tall defender for 3/4 of the game.He went off early for attention to his already strapped knee and it appears the physios said We know what you need. More strapping! And back out he went.
It might end up being BZT, Bergman and Jones for the rest of the year against the Hawks, Crows, Cats, Freo and Suns who all have powerful big forwards. Our defensive system looks lost so what we should do is add in a guy who has been training at it for the last month.
