Great comment about Liam Ryan. Without him and Nicnat we would probably have lost 2 more of our last 6 games.
Also agree about Kelly. Went from the penthouse last week to the shizen house tonight. Inexplicable ??
Great to see Schoey back in the team. Just adds that bit of mongrel in the backline and rarely loses a contest. Just love his aggression at the opposition, makes them sh*t bricks when he's around.
Was surprised at how badly Kelly played tonight - was he cooked or just plain lazy that is the question. Not good enough and Kelly needs to play more consistently. From Riches to Rags in just one week is a worry.

5: Ryan
4: Duggan
3: Hurn
2: Gaff
1: Sheppard

HM: Allen

Ryan's development/form just over the last handful of games has been extraordinary. The game appears to have quite suddenly slowed down for him. He's gone from being an impulsive player to an architect up forward.

Ryan played like a man who grasped the gravity of the game in the context of the season, and played accordingly.

He gets the 5

Then daylight

And then any of Shepherd, Hurn, Duggan, Gaff, Allen and Naitanui

On a side note its hard to fathom that this was same Tim Kelly how destroyed St kilda last week, was absolutely ordinary this evening
Kelly was disappointing but apart from gaff he's the only Eagles mid that hasn't had a break at this season and he'd be feeling pretty cooked.

5. Ryan- he is a Harlem Globetrotter. Just making campaigners look ridiculously stupid.
4. Duggan- Our best mid and crashed through for some realy important clearances and direct I50 entries. Will be on full time mid rotation in 21
3. Hurn- Getting back to his best at the right time. His brain improves the whole backline.
2. Allen- stood up when needed, and was the difference in the end. Taking your chances with set shots is the most important skill in this game.
1. Gaff- Not enough love for the work this guy puts in. Was very solid again.

Loving the polarising powers of Slippy Nelson. Making votes and HM's and also getting bagged in the changes thread.

Need to watch the replay before voting as I followed by radio. Ryan trhe clear 5 vote getter is my only solid conclusion so far.

I can see why.
Had a pretty good game disposal wise, topped the AFL Fantasy score and did some nice things. Also fumbled a few times when not under pressure, made some questionable decisions and got caught while taking some thinking time he didn't have.
