Just gutted to hear about Skinner. Frankly it could be as treacherous for our playing group, as the Wallis injury has been for the Dogs. The young cohort that is coming through together is tight and has seen Sam work back from his previous ACL, they will be a bit down and rattled by it.

I somehow doubt the Melbourne media will eulogise Skinner or the club though, which is a good thing, as the kids need to grow as a group, including understanding that terrible injuries and rotten luck will crop up over their journey as elite footballers.

Good luck to the lad on his surgery and rehabilitation, it will be a big roar at the Gabba when he has his name read out pregame on his debut!
