This is a never-before-seen matchup. WC were in their navy wings by the time the bounding roo became a thing in the mid-90s. It'll potentially be a bit clashy with the royal wings, but I think it should be ok.

That would be cool, so it won't happen.

A good idea to put tonight’s umpires in yellow and black/grey (it’s wet). Because the AFL now wants a minimum number of colours used per game. Tonight’s colours are yellow, black and white, for both teams and umpires.

Once again, a great example that anybody who peddles the “why can’t Collingwood get a clash jumper” line should be instantly ignored. They’re arguably the best at it, certainly within the ‘big 4’.

If we can give up 80+ years of white-based jumpers to make a move to black-based jumpers, Rich/Carl can wear their clash against us just once.

I meant "just once" as in just the one away game against us each year, but yes everytime would be brilliant.

To be fair that was "given up on" well before clash jumpers. So it's not like Richmond had a clash jumper for 10 years that they didn't need to wear against Collingwood who then inverted their jumpers and suddenly Richmond had to wear clash. They (and Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne) should have been wearing non-black/navy against Collingwood since the start of clash jumpers.

Thanks for that. I thought it was a cutoff over some bandages. Hard to see that getting by these days
