Hope the boys are more geed up for tonight than I am.
Thats the attitude that the Gabba crowds are being accused of!
Meh 🫤
I am hoping the crowd tonight brings a bit more than, Meh!

incidentally i really hope Marshall starts and Bruce is sub. Bruce has shown to be a breat impact player. Marshall is the best runner in the club so can run his guts out and anticipate sub. use them both to their stengths!
I really hope we go this way with Bruce as sub, but I highly suspect our coaching will go the other way around. We almost always go the last man in as sub and I feel like they think Bruce is ahead of Marshall in the pecking order.

It worries me as I dont think he has the running capacity to play wing all game.

yep

we are just not very tactical with subs

usually it probably doesn't matter but i am sure it hursts us sometimes - dees game at gabba was a classic. we pulled the trigger with about 10 mins to go, mckenna actually managed a goal in that time, anyone could see we were flat after half time

ah well can't have it all

Little bit concerned for tonight. Answerth is a big loss. Shuts down the dangerous little forwards and wins the ball himself. Is a tough competitor.

Bailey naturally a big out and he is impossible to replace.

Doggies seem to like a shoot out. They score heavily but can be scored against - our first match against them was a perfect example. I reckon we can get a mismatch if we play three talls - but we then need to be careful they don't hurt us with lots of run from the back line. Fancy Ah Chee playing a defensive role on Bailey Dale and hurting him offensively when given the chance.

Hoping Rayner keeps up his great form and Charlie kicks on from last week.

Danger game but at this time of the year you can't afford to drop games - I would take a 1 point win right now.

IMO Wilmot or Fletcher are extremely capable of performing the "Answerth" lockdown role if instructed to.

Interested to see if The Big O can show something up forward
Im wondering if playing him and Fort is to help O get back up to fitness before finals. But also not wear either of them out.

My thought exactly 👍

Nobody can be perfect, having zero tactical nous when it comes to sub selection and usage is proof Chris Fagan is human🙃
I’d prefer the tactical sub was played around 3/4 time - give the player coming on enough time to get into the game and have an impact. Playing earlier than that does expose the team to being burnt by needing an injury sub after tactical has already been made.

It will be won in the midfield. The team that gets the ball forward can lock it in.
Our defensive structure has been better in recent weeks, blocking the exits for F50.

Needless to say lose this and things could start to look a bit problematic Ladder wise.

Put in like we have the last two outings and we'll be too good. Too many easy entries into their forward half would spell trouble if they get their game going. This game will tell us a lot about covering the loss of Payne and Answerth.
Andrews to Darcy and Lester to Naughton. We have this. Footscray’s take on the game and mindset is made clear by the fact that they have recalled a Key Position Defender.
