No that is crap, how simple is it for the club to come out and say that following medical advice we have decided to rest Hewit. Stop cracking others opinions because you don't know anymore than we do what happens inside the club so we can only have an opinion on what they tell us. They have said he needs a rest. Why?
Because he’s played the most footy this year than he has in any previous year, more than many years combined in fact, and his output and burst has noticeably faded week on week. It’s obvious to everyone who watches this team he would do well to have a breather and hit the last month of the season hard.

And on Suma, it’s nothing to do with him potting the club, more that if he said the sky was blue I’d expect anyone with half a clue about his track record would be inclined to walk outside and check for themselves. Or, plainly, he’s a ****ing moron.

Jesus H. Christ.

If the club says he is being "managed" then of course they are following medical advice. This is not the deep state, and there is no dark conspiracy. It's a football club that is trying to manage a young player with a track record of injury. In particular, a player whose main strength is his burst and power.

Why does the club need to say anything other than exactly what they've already said?

posters believing anyone in the WA footy media is actually 'on our side' is hilarious

He has been there and done it so his opinion is probably pretty good. I have no idea also why we are resting Hewit, if he is injured fine but a rest?? Fair dinkum you have to be kidding.
Hewett probably ran more on the weekend than Sumich did in his entire career.

The game has changed. Hewett missed all of last year and had an injury affected pre-season this year. It’s no surprise he needs a rest.

Shanahan our leading runner at 14.1km, genuine chance he did more on the weekend than Sumich did in his life.

Can someone explain why a kid who just set his personal best for TOG% in back to back weeks, who has played 15 games this year having played 14 total in the previous two years, and has been playing largely as a mid with minimal protection from senior bodies might be needing a quick refresh before hitting the last month of the season?

Keep in mind, I didn’t wasn’t playing professional football in 1989 so you’re going to have to bear with me as I evidently don’t understand the modern game.

Sumich’s mouth has racked up more mileage post retirement than his legs ever did.

I’m family friends with his cousin, they all think he’s an absolute unit as well.

What a clown.
I don't hear much Sumich content here in Vic, mostly know that he's bitter from what people post on here. But hearing that, he has a genuine hatred of the club, hasn't he? He's making up things to get angry over and works himself up into a frenzy over it.
Yep like you I’ve only gone on what others have said about Suma.

If you like Roy & HG I’d actually recommend the first few minutes. Great comedic talent.

You’ve missed the point, no one is suggesting Suma’s opinions are not honest. But they are suggesting he’s on the verge of unhinged.

The rant about Hewett being rested and wanting Harley to leave is way beyond the verge of unhinged, its off the cliff unhinged

And I've been a Suma defender in the past.

Im more confused that he didnt get rested against Port instead.

Resting him on a home game doesnt make much sense

Umm, because he needs a rest now? Had a rough game against Port? Players usually self report or it shows up on training metrics.

I used to enjoy listening to this show but it has become moronic. Tony Micale is just as bad as Sumich and bordering on being worse than Kane Cornes, actually they have gone past him. The show and station will have no listeners soon and be off the air which is a shame.
Hey don’t compare the god that is Micale to Sumich. Micale actually has a coaching record and when he opens his mouth it’s generally well considered and thought old… Suma not so much

You schedule the games off before the year and play to that? More teams then Collingwood do that also. Infact we are one of the very few who dont

With their veterans, maybe.

With their third-year players though?
