Played like a team that never trains in the wet. I would guess that when the rain comes at training they go inside to the nice dry climate controlled high performance centre.

It's been a problem for 20 years or more but for ****s sake get them in the gym and put some decent size on the players. We always look like boys against men - another reason our finals and big games record is so abysmal over the last decade.

We slip over more than any team I've ever seen - in the wet or dry. It's like half our players are wearing sneakers instead of boots with sprigs. Again, this has been a problem for years. Is there nobody at this club capable of recognising a basic problem and taking steps to fix it?

Sweet played well

Did they not train in anticipation of wet weather footy this or something? The amount of slipping, fumbles was insane.

Where's the balls soaked in soap for training?

I suspect they never train in the rain - which for a winter sport would be mad. I could be wrong though and we're just the most naturally fumbly group of footballers ever assembled. Even our best players can't handle the wet ball, so it's not just a 'depth' problem

Nah, you’re right. Pretty sure they head straight indoors to the synthetic stuff inside the MG Centre if the weather’s inclimate. Absolute madness for a winter sport.

It’s hard to single out individuals in such a poor performance, but it’s the usual suspects.

Jackson Mead what the actual fk is this guy doing.

Boak again was deplorable, literally fumbled every posession

Logan Evan’s looks like an absolute fish out of water.

I thought Wil Lorenz showed some nice signs, Sweet clearly our BOG.

Edit - Adding Josh Sinn to the best players, he played a really tight solid game against I thought.
Giving Sinn a big pass is rose coloured glasses. He really has yet to do much at AFL level. A good game here and there doesn’t cut it. Yet to see him string some games together and yet to see what some others see in him.

It’s nice to Sinn finally get some continuity after an interrupted three seasons with injury.

Next season, I do expect Sinn to start using his attributes more in his run and carry rather than being used as a lockdown defender.

Love the AFL website saying the plane is "cheeky theatre" but when we do it, its 20k out of the soft cap.
Wonder why the entire Hawthorn media mafia are not crying about this like last year.

Is it just me or whenever Sinn tires to put any power or penetration in his kick he ends up either kicking the ground or completely shanking it
His kicking in his draft highlights package I seen before we drafted him didn’t look good.
We did a lot of dancing to get him, hopefully next year it starts to pay off.

I suspect they come indoors when it's pouring during training, the Crows did it the other week when news cameras caught them all running off the ground before they got their hair wet to Beige Towers at West Lakes.

I can remember training in hail at Greenacres.
