I'm still shocked at how bad collectively we were.

The ins have to be Sandilands, Hill and Ballantyne. Three out and out match winners right there.

The obvious outs have to be Griffin, Morabito and Sylvia.

The 'would be looking over the shoulders' players Taberner and Matt Deboer

The 'can we get a crack now' players are Sheridan and Crozier.

Ibbotson, McPharlin would have question marks over them.

So after all that waffle I'l go with

In: Sandilands, Hill, Ballantyne, Sheridan, Ibbotson
Out: Griffin, Morabito, Sylvia, Taberner, McPharlin
I agree with this assessment but De Boer definitely deserves a spot now, jesus at least his tackling and ferociousness is 10x better then Sylvia's. Shows the right attitude and team mentality is a must for this team and unfortunately Sylvia is so far behind this.
Sheridan and Crozier have been given chances time and time again, think those days are a little over, just go quiet when needed.
I'm sure Ibbo should be right, damn he's crucial for us.

Outs: (injury) Gu, Elvis
(omit) Tabs, Griff, Sylvia, Clarke

Ins: Sandi, Ballas, Ape, Croz, Hill, Silv (or A Pearce if Silv not fit)

Walters to be back the next week.

Clarke was given an opportunity to step up and impose in Sandi's absence, and just showed a pea heart and no desire.

Out for Zac.

If you actually read what I wrote you'll find I didn't drop deBoer.

At the bottom I had 5 ins and 5 outs and he wasn't an out.

Yeah I did just getting it out there. Just stating De Boer's work rate etc.. Don't necessary think he should be looking over his shoulder if Sylvia or Croizer wouldn't really be pushing for his spot given the way they have played in purple recently.

Why are people dropping random players (Clarke) for no reason other than they played poorly in a game where EVERYONE played poorly. We may as well just keep Fyfe in and change everyone else, even Fyfe played poorly by his standards.

Clarke won't be dropped.

Until Zaarke is dropped we won't really have accountability for poor performances. He can be very great for us, but has been coasting and not giving great effort. An example needs to be made.

Clarke has been very poor for over six weeks.

He simply isn't delivering what we all know he can - he just isn't aggressive or attacking enough currently. A dropping might just give him the wake up call he needs to work out if he is going to attack the contest hard or not.

At present, Ape and Hannath both show more than Zac.

So make that example with Sylvia.

Clarke is still a very good ruckman when assisting Sandilands and to be honest certainly wasn't our worst.

I foresee 5 changes anyway.

Come on.

Apeness and Hannath!

Griffin was killing it in the WAFL and showed how big the step up is. He was deplorable.

I did make that flog Sylvia an example, that is why he is listed as an out in my post.

Wut? Very good??? VERY GOOD?? VERY F###CKING GOOD??????????

Wut??

In what universe has Zaarke been "a very good ruckman" this season?? Sam Jacobs, Stefan Martin and Billy f##ckin Longer own Zaaarke!! and all are on a fraction of the wage and play with much greater intensity!!

Come on.
Apeness and Hannath!

Actually Griff was hardly killing it in the WAFL, and (if you bother to acknowledge any of the WAFL observers posts on here) Griff was behind Hannath, Kep and Ape in form. Obviously Keps being hurt changes things, but I'm buggered if I know why Griff was picked ahead of Ape or Hannath, unless there are injuries that haven't yet been announced.

Zaarke has simply lacked focus, effort and four quarter drive - at some point he must be held accountable for that, and hopefully before our key games against Hawks, Cats and Port, so that Zaaarke can spend a week in WAFL, rediscover his aggression, and lead us to a great finals series...

What:rolleyes: Apeness and Hannath hardly had touch at Peel and Griff is not ready. He is miles away from the 22
Those who in the past were calling for Griff to replace Sandi now must realise there is no comparison between them

So we continue to tolerate the insipid pathetic half arsed efforts that Zaarke has been dishing up?? Just because supposedly there is no alternative??

Nah Hannath has been non competive ,he is slow, slow, treacle

I've been to quite a few Peel games. Hannath and Kep? Are you even serious. Hannath - not a chance in hell he was ahead of Griffin. Kep - Has been playing defense if you yourself bothered to follow. Ape - has been playing as a forward.

Clarke isn't exactly killing it, but not sure how you'd expect anyone else to come in and do better then him.

Sometimes people just think that a player will come in from the WAFL and just clunk marks and kick a bag.

How is Hannath in any way relevant to the post of mine that you quoted??

I get that you like Zaarke and don't like Hananth, but how can anyone say Zaarke has been "a very good ruckman"??

Zaarke might have pace but without focused aggression, presence and contested marking, he is nothing more than Usain Bolt on a stepladder. Useless on an AFL field (especially for Ross Lyon) unless he plays hard tackling, aggressive chasing and lots of smothering/tackling/shepherds...

What worries me is whether Waite and Henderson can do as they did against North. Very similar to Stanley and Riewoldt. Our defense looked to have no idea.

I did say 'when assisting Sandilands'.

Not a lead ruckman, but can give Sandilands a break. Run the opposition ruckman around etc. He's a better option then anyone else.

Again he wasn't even close to our worst today. Kept presenting on the wing.

No, I don't think anyone will come in from WAFL and "kick a big bag".

I do think that Zaarke has been cruising precisely because he thinks that all of the other options are so much worse than him that he will never get dropped.

Hence why a dropping might wake him the f%%ck up that no matter how athletic he is, if he doesn't actually chase hard, tackle, smother and take contested marks, we might just play Chris Mayne or Zac Dawson as our second ruck instead of a pea hearted "athlete".

Don't get me wrong, when he tries and chases flat out Zac can be outstanding - but he has rarely this season shown anything like the outright aggression that we need from him.
