Round 19 Trades

I've come to the conclusion that Didak is to be traded. The only headache now is who for. I've narrowed it down to Richo, Franklin and ROK. I would go Richo, but his tendency to get injured worries me. Franklin can have massive scores and ROK is in red hot form.

Didak to Franklin is the obvious one. The only worry is that Franklin plays West Coast in a couple of weeks who he has a horrid record against. You'd think with so many WC senior players out he should have a day out though.

This week I did Shaw -> Goo and Didak -> Murphy which made me 80k to upgrade Porplyzia to someone hopefully.

Should I go Heath Shaw for Peter Burgoyne. Started off the year with him in my team then traded out. Trade him in again and had to trade him out because of his hammy so is he worth the risk?

chuck this out there see wat ppl think

got shaw and didak

looking at either a better forward or a better backman out of the 2 trades which should i go with ?

Better forward

DIDAK, Alan - > JOHNSON, Steve
HEATH, Shaw - > ROUGHEAD, Jarryd OR MCMAHON, Jordan

OR for the better backman

DIDAK, Alan - > ROUGHEAD, Jarryd OR FEVOLA, Brendan
HEATH, Shaw - > MACKIE, Andrew

Bock
H Shaw
McPhee
Bradshaw
Ibbotson
Wonaeamirri
Whelan

NJ Brown
S Selwood

Bartel
Cross
Carrazzo
Stevens
Black
Cotchin

Eddy
Masten

Cox
Simmonds

Laycock
Meesen

Franklin
Didak
Pavlich
Brown
Lloyd
Rioli
Reimers

Tippet
Sellar

3 trades, $9,200.

I'm thinking:

Reimers -> Maric
Didak -> O'Keefe

leaving a decent chunk of money and one trade, and allowing me to upgrade Shaw whenever I feel like it. Not sure if I should do anything differently though.

Thoughts?

Averaged over 80 the last 2 years and I reckon Adelaide have got a lot to play for over the next 4 weeks. Guerra and Ladson worry me, plus i've already got Birchall. Not that it really bothers me but it's just one more reason I suppose.

Plus his average is lower then normal because of the niggles his had. But he's scored over 80 the last 2 weeks so I reckon he's back on track.

you 100% read my mind :)

i'll be doing Shaw -> McLeod. i feel he can push his average back into the 70s, which means averaging 80+... hopefully!!

(although, i would recommend choosing another player if you can afford it)

HEEELLLPPPP!!!!!!

Just been screwed by the obvious problems of Heater, Dids & Porps. Still got 2 trades to go with $165k and carrying the birdman for the last 2 weeks.

Decided to upgrade Porps to ROK but that still leaves 1 trade and $70k.

Heater to the bench with Lower and Selwood to cover - no problems there (just less points), major issue is who for Dids????

Deledio - Consistent but not high scorer
Richo - Injury concerns, hard with no trades... But, everyone else has him
S Johnson - Capable of freakish scores, has levelled out ok, great run home....
N Brown - Showing good signs but ill last week doesn't help

These are the four that I am looking at, concerns me a little that 3 of them are richmond but they do have a good run home.

Finished top of table so need to win this week.... Want the week off.

Can SOMEONE please give me something and tell me who is the better choice and why - been staring at my team for the last 30 mins!

who would be the better option for Dids?

Steve Johnson or Buddy?

the way i see it, Buddy has a higher average but is more inconsistent relying on massive games to keep his average high.

Johnson is more consistent.

Just worried that Johnson might get rested since Geelong are going to finish on top easily

Umm why don't you upgrade burton instead of porps, will give you more cash to play with. oh wait you seem to have enough cash to get anyone anyway.

I would go with Richo, injury risk but biggest potential scores.

Buddy, and this is coming from the biggest Stevie J fan around.
Budwood has a fantastic draw to finish with, and I can see him exploding from here.

Heath Shaw, Milburn, Birchall, Goddard, Ibbotson, Mattner, Gilbee
Thompson/Pfeiffer

Bartel, Corey, Thompson, Stevens, Cross, Kornes
Wellingham/Browne

Cox, Simmonds
Leuenberger/West

Franklin, Pavlich, Brown, Akermanis, Deledio, Didak, Gamble
Tippett/Ross

I am ranked 71st so overall is out of my reach so i am just going for my league win for bragging rights.

3 Trades and $151,600 Remaining
and with the last trade if everything goes my way, i would like to upgrade Gamble.

Option 1
OUT: Shaw, Didak
IN: Welsh, O'Keefe
1 Trade and $56,500 Remaining

Option 2
OUT: Shaw, Didak
IN: Welsh, Murphy
1 Trade and $163,500 Remaining
(Gamble to someone worth $380K next round, possibly Riewoldt?)

Option 3 (If Tippett Plays)
OUT: Shaw
IN: Welsh
Tippett cover for Didak
2 Trades and $125,600 Remaining

I didn't consider Mackie as i would HAVE to get Murphy and would have no money left for Gamble to anyone.
Thoughts appreciated
Thanks

I like option 2. Thats the one that would give you 3 players capable of posting solid scores from here on in.
I may do it differently though as I would prefer Richo to Volt. Shaw to Welsh and Dids to Richo this week, you can still get Murphy next week he wont rise too much.

Thanks for the advice.
I would consider Richo however from reports of last week he played mainly up forward and i don't want him if he isn't playing around the ground and if he has had recent injuries at his age.

Is Deledio carrying any injuries? Was Nathan Brown just ill last week? Will RMurphy recover form?

Argh, wtf do I do with didak- anyone have any real thoughts? I'm leaning towards Deledio....hoping to just bench Shaw this week, win my qualifying final and take a breather week to see what arises.

Ok.........Thoughts on this fella's!!!

Before the didak/Shaw saga i was a lock in for a palmer to Ablett/Corey Trade.

Now P.burger was on my bench so i have replaced Heath shaw with him...(handy), Proud is also playing but i rekon he can hold his spot.

Didak is obviously out and i have R.Davis and B.Ross EMG......Now Davis has been named on a 7 man bench but i rekon he will play....I will wait to see if he is named.....but heres what i'm thinking!

If i trade palmer for ablett i will be gaining about an extra 50-70 ppg and if i play Davis it will basically even itself out.
Now if i trade Didak for Reiwoldt i will be gaining about 70-80 ppg on Davis.

So my Dillemma is, Do i trade plamer for Ablett who is playing sydney this week (palmer that is) meaning i play Davis or Ross if he gets a game for the rest of the season
Do i trade Didak for Reiwoldt and keep palmer for the rest of the year
or do i leave my team as is, hope i get the week off and save my trade for the Preliminary Final
Davis plays i don't get a Zero, but the fact Geelong are playing Melbourne is just very tempting!
I can win even with a zero having scored 2198 with a zero last week...so big decision to make...Any ideas???

Cheers fella's!

In both options i would choose Roughhead over the alternative.

Between Mackie and Johnson it's really a flip of the coin job - both would be very good selections.
