Brave effort. I was just waiting for the Crows to pile on the goals in the final term but to our credit we stayed in it.

Anyone else think Winderlich can become a very hand 30-40 goal player next season?

Easy...IF he can stay on the park!!

He was in devastating form tonight and was gutted when he went down...looked like a good one too, 4 weeks?

What happened to Hibberd's 1 week quad?
What happened to Crameri and Myers? Apparently didn't get thru a fitness test for the hawks game and still not playing?

Gutsy performance, couldn't be more prouder.

T - Bell with 46 hit outs toiled hard all game (Jacobs 40 HO). :thumbsu:

* Why does Richard Douglas save his banana/inside out/arsey/no idea what the hell I am doing, but I will just drop it on my right foot and hope for the best kicks for Essendon? Every time we play Ade, we are a victim of this bull shit.

Just needs to learn that when he's clearly winning the ruck contests, hitting it to an area where there are no Bombers players, and none coming through, but a couple of unmanned Crows players, it may not e the best option.

Did the same thing against Geelong - belted their ruckman, but hit it straight to opposition players.

Couple of the perennials have re-surfaced in this thread - Kong blaming the umpires and Hurley not getting free kicks.

Thought the umpiring was OK - And Hurley always wants to initiate contact - Which doesn't mean you will get a free kick.

A game we should have won - Dominated the last quarter but our disposal into the forward 50 was shocking - Crows took 7 intercept marks in the last quarter - And Pears should have snaffled that mark.

Disappointing that we conceded 3 contested marks in our defence.

Same level of performance against the Kangaroos and we will win,

Slattery should never play another game for us again. 60% TOG for 4 possessions is not the return you want. I honestly didn't even see him more than once in the game. Maybe he tagged Thompson, maybe he didn't - either way he offered nothing offensively. He's a good bloke, but his time as a footballer is over.

Umpiring was fine. Jobe missed the captain's goal which would have won you the game.
You won't need to play as well next week to win, but I can't see you getting to 80% of that performance after such heartbreak.

I look forward to Hurley on Petrie. That would be a great battle and a significant "win" to us before a ball is even bounced.

No Ziebell, Thomas and McIntosh will mean you will have a very good chance of beating us, if you bring your A game.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Henry' role was to gather 30 possessions and 10+ inside 50's.
His role was to negate Thompson' influence on the game, which he did. Can't argue with that.

No point blaming the umpires for the lost, I could probably pick out 50 frees we should have got.

.the third quarter save us, this is a great sign that we can be outplayed for 3 quarters and still win.

.Essendon should have been 6 goals up at half time.

.Dangerfield and Sloane are superstars their will lead this club for the next 10 years.

THE RULES COMITTEE ARE AT FAULT FOR BRINGING IN THE HOLDING THE BALL RULE JUST TO KEEP THE PLAY MOVING, DON'T BLAME THE UMPIRES THEIR ARE JUST FOLLOWING THE RULES WHICH DISCOURAGES ONE OF THE MAJOR FUNDMENTALS OF OUR GAME.

The deliberate out of bounds rule is being umpired in the wrong way. Jeff Gieschen and his fellow umpire coaches are to blame.

Lol, Mcintosh wouldn't even be in your 22.

Just got back.......
Definately had the opportunties in that last qtr.
A couple of times in the last qtr though it was a crows 2 on 1 in the dons forward line, needed some else down there.
A few puzzling decisions in that last quarter by the umpires. But honestly, we lost it through some poor mistakes.
