Fresh from toppling the VFL reigning premiers on their home deck, the Hawks return to Box Hill City Oval for the first time this season with a traditional ANZAC Day weekend clash against Coburg. The Hawks will look to build on their perfect start to the season with a victory over one of the few remaining stand-alone clubs in the VFL.

The development squad return to Box Hill City Oval with a game against Coburg's reserves, with the first bounce at 10.45am.

Entry is free for Box Hill and Hawthorn members. Children are free entry regardless of whether they are members or not. With Hawthorn not playing until Sunday afternoon, if you're at a loose end, why not come down and cheer on the next generation of talent as they strut their stuff?

As per usual, 3WBC 94.1FM will have live coverage of the game, starting from 1.00pm. You can tune in via their website stream at www.3wbc.org.au. Additionally, Box Hill Hawks will provide regular updates via its twitter feed at www.twitter.com/boxhillhawks

Teams to follow.

Without pre-empting anything, you would expect Box Hill to be even stronger this week than what we were against the Dogs.
The 3 emergencies (Whitecross, Howe, Vickery - although officially pulled out "injured") didn't play last week so they would all be expected to play this week, along with O'Meara returning plus if my mail is correct, Dureya and Heatherly will also be good to go. That is essentially 5 ins (they will have to hold someone out as an emergency for the West Coast game Sunday). And I don;t think we had any injuries concerns come out of the Geelong game apart from badly bruised egos.
Further, of the Box Hill listed players, Moore and O'Donnell didn't play week so you would expect them to come into the selection mix if right.

Going to be some unlucky blokes in both grades who miss out this week - great from a depth perspective however.

Where's Andrew Moore at? Injured?

Very good question. Had an injury plagued AFL career which seems to have followed him to Box Hill.
Also notice that Mitch O'Donnell is again missing from both grades.

On the whole however, 2 very strong teams to represent. Lets hope we make it a 2 and zip start to the season in both grades.
