What did Green do wrong? He wasn’t stellar but he’s a young player that requires patience.

Hopefully the team picked is an indication that we are now only picking fit players and picking the best team and not just trying to put all the best players in.
If they are all fit we have too many inside mids to play in one team. Although Green is a better player than Buckley & Bruhn at this stage they play different positions.
The Sproule selection is strange but Riccardi/Hogan might need a run in the 2’s first. I’m not a big fan of Finlayson but he seems very unlucky to not get a game at the moment.

It's a head-scratcher isn't it
He was one of the first to extend in the off-season so I thought the coaches favoured him enough to keep him around as they didn't wait until they sorted out Jezza and Caldwell

His disposal would be good off the wing but defensively he would be a big liability.
