You know why
I really don't. I didn't know whether Cleary had played all the VFL practice matches, after the intra club, and I think he played a part in that gutsy performance against Gold Coast VFL. There were no reports from our practice matches against GWS, so I'm happy to now know he was playing.

I tried to send you a message , but you don't have that option , im over it

Possibility that we use a tall as the sub. Very polarising move on here, queue the melt down.

Cox said he wants to see how we go with the 2 ruck set up. I can't see Ladhams as the sub, imo it's between Gus & Corey. Cox also highlighted Freo's strong midfield, so I'm leaning towards Corey being the sub.

I don't think we'll have 3 talls in the fwd line at the same time. One will be resting on the bench imo. Grundy ruck, Amartey & Mclean in the fwd line, Ladhams on the bench. Whenever any of them needs a rest then Ladhams comes in as a fwd or ruck imo.

We were bombing it long when under pressure in Q4 while having no talls in the fwd line, maybe that has played a factor in the Ladhams selection. Amartey with his injury history & Mclean returning from an injury interrupted pre-season while having a long flight over, the coaches might've wanted another tall for injury cover.

I've personally written Ladhams off as I just don't trust he can stop his brain farts. But it is very encouraging as a supporter base that a lot of people on here are calling for him to be given a chance and lot of chat about him looking much improved and disciplined. I'd love to be proven wrong about my views on him.

At least if we do, it'll be at most 7 talls, what we've played with for many years and same number as Freo's 23.

And it's not forecast rain like that match we had Francis as sub...

Probably the least mobile combination of KPFs though if we play them all in the 22 or have to sub off a small.

Maybe he won't get back to the decent form of a couple of years ago when he had to fill in for Hickey, but his VFL form late last year and some of his pre-season work gives reason to be hopeful.

SYDNEY

In:
H.McLean, P.Ladhams, A.Sheldrick
Out: L.Melican (adductor), J.McInerney (suspension), B.Paton (omitted)

R1 sub: Riley Bice

Why Bice as sub I don't know. I think there is one too many tall. It should have been between Ladhams & McLean, not both in. We are obviously trying to stretch Freo in the back half. But the problem is Ladhams doesn't kick goals. Interesting look. Looks like Lloyd is in defence this week. Just not vertain why Riley Bice is Sub. He was really good and is a great kick.

Freo have 2 strengths.

The midfield clearance gurus & their med/tall defenders.

In regards defenders, they have:
  • Brennan Cox (AA squad)
  • Luke Ryan (multiple AA)
  • Alex Pearce (bloody handy)

You just aren't going to beat those guys in the air.

Which is why I just can't see the logic in having McL, McC, Armatey and Ladhams all going through our forward 50.

WTF has this got to do with the game
Ask the guy who posted the picture not me. He posted saying Rampe for Intergalactic leader. I wouldn't think Dane would ever wear a uniform like that. do you ever read the threads properly or just pick on people you don't like?

That's because Tom McCartin will play back not forward. I don't care where they have him on the team sheet.
